Finally! We have been waiting an eternity to have an OMA building in our homebase Shanghai. We had the chance to enter this exhibition center/event space pre-opening thanks to the nice people at OMA who coordinated.
This building is the connecting element between old and present, between city and river, between industry and service sector. Thats a lot of link into a not that big building. And there is sure a lot to talk about!
It is a building that reveals itself the more you observe. It seems robust and closed off at first sight. However looking more closely it’s subtle and delicate. Is that even possible with a 30+m cantilever?
OMA you have finally arrived in Shanghai, and we are happy to have you here!!
