How to use Ollama. Ollama lets you run real AI models directly on your own computer, with no subscription, no account, and no data ever leaving your machine. In this video I will walk you through installing it, picking the right model for your hardware, chatting with your own files, and using the brand new agent mode that can search the web and create files for you.
Ollama has changed a lot recently. What used to be a developer tool that lived in the terminal is now a proper desktop app with a chat window, drag and drop file support, image reading, and a built in agent that actually takes actions on your computer. We start from the download and go all the way through choosing a model that fits your memory, understanding the tools, vision, and thinking tags, running everyday tasks like writing product descriptions and analyzing a sales spreadsheet, using the terminal commands worth knowing, and finally trying cloud models when a job is too big for your machine. I use a small coffee roasting business as the example the whole way through, so you can see how this looks with real work instead of test prompts. If your school or workplace will not let you use AI because of privacy rules, this is the video that gets you around that problem the honest way.
