Listen to this great original song by Oliver. "You're Not Gonna Break This Heart Again", which was originally released in 1984 on his album "In Our Time" with little publicity or advertisement. His decision to include the most wonderful versions of both his gold records, may have not helped in getting his NEW music air time. This occurred shortly before Bill Swofford fully exited the music business and began the process of beginning a new career - in mid-life, and as a single man.
The album was released again under the UAV label OLIVER - Good Morning Starshine in 1997, then included in another release of the album - (less Good Morning Starshine and Jean) under the album title "Lonely Days" - which is now available on iTunes.
This video is released as part of the celebration of life for William Oliver Swofford (2/22/1945 - 2/12/2000); It's being provided as a small gesture of my humble respect and love for this magnificent man taken from us too soon, yet he left these bits of evidence of his short but accomplished, admirable and humbled life. #BeLikeBill
He was a true renaissance man excelling in virtually every way. He was a loving humanitarian and the kindest, most humble man I’ve ever met. If I could do more to spread his beautiful music, character, and kindness, I would.
