This entire mep collection is full of WLW, PVRIS and Mass Effect- Welcome to what it's like living in my brain lol
I'm actually so happy with the parts in this collection, they aren't perfect and I would probably change things looking back on them now, but this is the first time that I've put one of these out and actually liked every part in it. I really think I'm finally improving :DD
I experimented a lot since my last collection, I tried to join in on more FX style editing. But it got really hard bc I run out of ideas so easily T-T

1: Old Wounds

Notes: I just had to join this MEP. PVRIS is my favorite band ever and getting to edit with one of their songs is always a good excuse to take on more MEP parts lol. I was so happy with how this turned out! The voiceovers didn't make it into the full MEP unfortunately (I totally understand why though so it's no problem). I feel like without the voiceovers the scene selection is kinda crap, so I will need to work on that next time I reckon!

2: Winter

Notes: PVRIS AGAIN! That's literally the only reason I joined this MEP xD I've already editing to this song before, but the theme was super nice and I had a lot of fun trying to make it fit the theme! We were told to use both blue and occasionally splashes of color like in the song to show the 'burning' as well and I really enjoyed trying to balance it out.
It was also fun trying to put in scenes that showed something symbolic of their relationship, it's been forever since I watched Killing Eve so I had to go back and look through all the episodes to find them, but looking back some of the shots really don't flow that well, so I'll have to work on that next time!

Notes: THIS THEME WAS SO FUNN!!!!!! It was doodles + VHS effects and I really loved it so much! At first I wasn't sure if I'd be able to find enough overlays to make the part work but I think I found the sweet spot between too many and too little? Idk, but it was a lot of fun trying to figure out how to get the story of the song to match with Mass Effect.

4: Dream of You

Notes: I didn't actually realize what the lyrics of this part were before I took it, and after listening to it I felt I had to use a slight nsfw part to make it fit so that disappointed me a little bc I don't really like editing with nsfw too much but eh, I think I was able to brush past it fast enough in the part hahaha. I had a lot of fun with the color scheme for this part! I tried hard to make my part look fun and keep it flowing. I'm terrible with upbeat and fast songs.

Notes: I struggled so much with this part and I ran out of ideas so that's why the last part of it is so bad T-T. But it was a lot of fun making that comp with the leaves! I like having excuses to use particle systems!

Notes: This was a backup part! I was really happy with it when I finished it but now I think this is probably one of the weaker parts in this collection, I do really like the blue aesthetic though and getting to make more space themed mep parts would be super fun!

Notes: Same as the last part, I really liked it when I first finished it but now I'm not so sure. I just don't think the clips really fit with the song as well as they could have T-T. But I enjoyed the aesthetic of the full MEP so much! Everyone's parts were great!
