A classic Arkansas song we learned from George Edgin's Corn Dodgers! Allison arranged this for the clawhammer banjo.

For those of you wondering what a corn-dodger is, find below a definition in folksong:

"Old Ties" is Allison Williams (of the Forge Mountain Diggers) and Willi Goehring. They live in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where they host a monthly square dance and co-host an oldtime jam with members of the Ozark Highballers and the Red Star Rounders. Allison owns May Bell Music, a store for vintage instruments, lessons, and repair, and Willi is finishing an MFA in poetry.
