NEW TAS WR: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJrbxgxOSIs

READ THE DESCRIPTION BEFORE WATCHING THE VIDEO.

Tool Assisted Speedrun

Here is the Sonic's Story TASed. It unfurtonately desynced because of a bad Dolphin rev and a wrong save state used. Oh well.

First of all, I want to thank Gamepro011 for helping me through the full TAS with strats and some tips, itsPersonnal for some time savers and tricks, and Kurect for an awesome time saver in Emerald Coast, which saved me around 0.5 seconds. Thank you all for helping!

This video has the "synced" part of the TAS, which contains:
-From the start to the Ancient Light
-Red Mountain
-Sky Deck Act 1
-From Chaos 6 to the end.

If the video didn't desync, the final time would be 26:26.36 (26 min, 26.36 sec).

In the future, I'll redo this TAS with a better optimization and a better Dolphin rev. But I won't be doing this in the near future, I'll tell you guys when I start it.

Dolphin rev that I used: Dolphin 3.0-681 with Dolphin 3.0-382.exe x64.

Now, about each segment of this TAS:

Chaos 0 (15.68): 1st hit can be done 2 frames faster, but it's impossible to make Chaos 0 get back so fast for the 2nd hit, so 15.68 is the best time possible so far.

Emerald Coast (52.23): This one was improved by that great amount of time (5 seconds) in comparision to the old TAS because of a better angle input, a good optimization (even though that's possible to get even lower) and a time saver found by Kurect in the springs part of act 2.

After Emerald Coast, I got the Crystal Ring and went to Casino Area with a glitch found by me, getting through the door by a low amount of time, but enough to hit the trigger.

Casinopolis (3.95): Yeah, this one was amazingly optimized. I used Gamepro011's strat and fully angle optimization, which made me be able to get the sub.

Train Station door was closed, so I had to go over it with a spindash jump from the stairs.

Egg Hornet (27.11): I tried to do a early hit without the Light Speed Attack, but I couldn't. So, I just homing attacked him as fast as possible and kept waiting for the final hit so he could go back to the final animation earlier.

Windy Valley (1:10.15): You may be asking why is this slower than my TAS record. I used a different strat because I don't have the Light Speed Shoes yet, which actually only made me lose 4 seconds. Still beats the old TAS WR by ReneBalow :P

Ice Cap (8.46): Nothing special, only a good optimization to beat the old TAS record.

Chaos 4 (1:34.20): This one isn't hard, I just had to luck manipulate to get Chaos 4 to make the fastest attacks possible. The other part are just freerun things for entertainment XD

Sky Chase Act 1 (20675 points): I just want to thank Gamepro011 for his help here. Nothing more.

Twinkle Park (50.93): Just a better optimization from my old TAS.

Speed Highway (57.46): Same, just optimized.

Here I went to Casino Area (which is the same area as the Train Station) by a out of bounds glitch found by me, which you have to spindash through the wall near the Train Station entrance.

Red Mountain (42.81): In comparision to hohoh0hoh0's TAS, I just got better angle inputs and I did a wallrun before act 2 entrance.

Sky Chase Act 2 (53915 points): Desynced :'(

Sky Deck (48.95): Act 1 was the same as ReneBalow's, but I just got a weird amount of height when I jumped to a wall near the last spinning thing, which saved me some time. Act 2 desynced :'(

Chaos 6 (20.48): Nothing different, I just used the non-TAS WR strat with frame perfect attacks.

Lost World (52.83): This is around 5 seconds faster than hohoh0hoh0's TAS because I didn't use the "wrong gravity" strat, because it's slower in the amount of frames (real time). The great improvement comes with a time saver in Act 1 of spindash jumping directly to the upper part and a better strat in the mirror room of Act 2, because you have more speed while on the ground than on the air.

Final Egg (44.53): Just a optimization of my old TAS.

Egg Viper (2:18.61): Frame perfect attacks and luck manipulations are the key to the optimized time. And some awesome tricks for entertainment and an awesome ending!

Check that the TAS actually ends at 2:01.03 (game timer) of Egg Viper, because after that I don't have to press any more input to trigger the ending.

I hope you enjoy it, rate and subscribe if you want more TASes like that! ^_^
