The process of installing the new "old school" 186 camel hump heads pushes on but nothing ever comes easy. This time around I get so close to having it back together but go figure it was the little things that slowed progress.
Not to be beaten by this old hot rod I just just kept throwing parts in, making it work, tackling one small issue after another. I refuse to let this rust bucket beat me.

The 186 camel humps produced in '68 & '69 are one of the best "old school" factory heads. Essentially, the same design as the earlier 461/462 camel hump heads but with added accessory holes making them more friendly for accessory drive brackets.

The intake of choice is an Edelbrock Performer RPM dual plan. This should pair nicely with the heads for good power to about 5500rpm. The 4 hole carb spacer under the Holley carb up top should help maintain good signal to the car and keep intake charge velocity up for nice even fueling, or at least that's the theory!
