Pause 38 - Old keys wont open new doors
To me, it means that the habits, beliefs, and strategies that once kept us safe or successful are no longer sufficient for where we’re going.
It’s a quiet nudge, and sometimes a fierce shove, to stop trying to use yesterday’s understanding to navigate tomorrow’s terrain.
Examples of “old keys” could be:
• Familiar routines or ways of thinking
• Outgrown identities
• Comfort zones disguised as experience
• Past methods that once worked but now limit growth
& the “new doors” represent:
• Uncharted creative expression
• Deeper authenticity
• New opportunities, relationships, or phases of life
So the phrase is really about a metaphorical death and rebirth, about letting go of what no longer fits or serves you so that something entirely new can emerge.
