Lab Muffin Beauty Science | Olaplex lawsuit? @LabMuffinBeautyScience | Uploaded March 2023 | Updated October 2024, 7 hours ago.
What I think is going on with the Olaplex lawsuit - this is just my best guess! There are a hundred possibilities I can think of but a combo of these seem to me to be the most likely.

I only talked about Olaplex-specific issues in the video, but a general observation that really strikes me is that a lot of hair products are currently being blamed for hair loss, even though the formulas haven't changed for years.

So why the sudden uptick? More likely explanations than the formula would be:

👉 a change in use - e.g. the issues described here, growth of “hack culture” (aka using products in a wildly different way from the instructions), like the “wear an Olaplex bun to bed” thing that went viral a little while back

👉 a change in the people - there are lots of causes of hair loss, including covid and stress. Pretty sure most people in the world have gone through one or both in the last couple years?
