Allegedly rapper Ola Runt escaped from a Virginia state prison and is back behind bars after a wild high-speed chase on the interstate ended with spike strips, shattered glass, and a lot of new charges.
28-year-old Jaree Jackson Jr. was clocked doing 92 mph in a 70 zone, prompting troopers to pursue. The chase escalated until officers were able to stop the vehicle using spike strips. Even then, Jackson refused to comply—forcing law enforcement to break the driver’s side window to remove him from the car.
Inside the vehicle, authorities found 2.5 ounces of marijuana—more than likely packaged for sale—and two loaded handguns that were believed to have been tossed during the chase. Once in custody, Jackson tried to pass himself off with a false name, but his true identity revealed he was a wanted prison escapee from Virginia.
