Nostalgia Nerd | Oids: Inspiration for Lemmings | Nostalgia Nerd @Nostalgianerd | Uploaded March 2018 | Updated October 2024, 12 hours ago.
What came before Lemmings? Well, Oids did, and it even had a small part in inspiring DMA Design to create the suicidal critter based game. But what is Oids? Is it a good game in its own right? Well, that's what I'm exploring in this video. A review of Oids for the Atari ST, by Faster than Light Games, and presented by none other than Gamesmaster stand-in... THE NERDMASTER (I'm sure Sir Patrick Moore would be filled with both disgust and disdain).
This review was requested by Patron Gary Pinkett, who was also kind enough to lend me his copy of the increasingly rare Oids. You can follow and harass Gary on Twitter at twitter.com/STompyRR (don't harass him please).
