Ohm's law, example problems. Goes over several worked examples when solving for voltage, current and resistance using ohm's law.

Ohm's law, V = I x R, states that the current through a conductor is directly proportional to the voltage across a resistor and inversely proportional to the resistance of the resistor. I is the current through the resistor in amperes, V is the voltage measured across the resistor in volts, and R is the resistance of the resistor in ohms. Ohm's law holds for circuits containing only resistive elements, regardless of whether the voltage or current is constant (DC) or time-varying such as AC. It can be used for series, parallel and resistors in combination. When resistors are in series or in parallel they may be combined into a single "equivalent resistance" in order to apply Ohm's law in analyzing the circuit.
