My sister surprised our mother by coming home to Ireland from San Francisco where she lives. My brother pretended some balloons were delivered while Mom was out, and my sister was hiding as our Mom read the card that came with the balloons which said 'BOO!'.
She had been away for about 5 months. It was good timing as she was able to be here for Easter, Mom's birthday and my baby shower. Of course, Mom cried at the reunion! :)
