Offline Turn is Vital for Wing Chun Stances and Footwork (one)
One major flaw in the popular Wing Chun of today is the rotation aroound the central axis when the mechanics require offline rotation. Axis rotation is useful, but it holds onto a place so it requires exernal forces. At some point the structure itself will fail and the offline turn is required. Many WC today reject the 100% stance and turn methods of WT and instead use footwork to move their trunk around.
Another Sifu on a social media newsgroup made a wonderful video about standard elbow practice, and this is part od a taylored responce that goes with my written comment there.
