Valve's upcoming Steam Machine hardware lineup utilizes a standardized small-form-factor six-inch cube design running SteamOS 3, powered by a semi-custom AMD Zen 4 six-core, twelve-thread processor paired with an AMD RDNA3 graphics processing unit featuring 28 Compute Units. Every model shares a hardware architecture consisting of 16 gigabytes of DDR5 system RAM, 8 gigabytes of dedicated GDDR6 VRAM, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, Gigabit Ethernet, an integrated wireless Steam Controller adapter, and front-facing I/O containing two USB-A ports and a microSD slot. Canadian market pricing is structured across four specific tiers based on storage capacities and peripheral bundles: the baseline 512 gigabyte model costs $1,509.00 CAD standalone or $1,628.00 CAD with a bundled controller, while the premium 2 terabyte tier—which includes interchangeable red fabric and solid walnut faceplates—retails at $1,919.00 CAD standalone or $2,038.00 CAD when packaged with the controller. Consumer access is currently gated through a randomized purchase queue requiring registration prior to the hard deadline on June 25th at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.
