The iconic Oil Derrick has towered over Six Flags Over Texas since first opening in 1969 and is still the world's tallest land-based oil derrick.

Board one of the two open-walled elevators and ascend 30 stories up to the two observation decks at a leisurely 7 miles per hour. When you reach the top, take in the breeze as well as 360 degree views of the park, Dallas, Fort Worth, DFW Airport and the greater metroplex!
