The thing about having all this running data is that you just might be able to see, with remarkable clarity, the moment that old age starts to pull you away from your prime. At age 43 I ran my fastest marathon ever. And now, at 46, I'm trying to get back to where I used to be. Last year, I trained to run at one of the flattest and fastest courses in the world to see if I could reconnect with my former self. It didn't quite work out, but now I'm back and (almost) ready to start training again.
