It is a time of peace in the Gurhal System. The Alliance Centennial Ceremony has taken place for the unifying races, and the blessings of the Divine Maiden. In the wake of the ceremony, a lone boy in alleys, rides his way towards it. After some trouble, and a rendezvous with his younger sister, they reach their destination. Festivities are cut short however, as the sudden visions of the Divine Maiden are realized. The GUARDIANS Colony is attacked by an unknown force. It is then that the destiny of the young Ethan Waber is intertwined with that of the GUARDIANS. The Phantasy Star Universe saga begins.
