In this episode, we dive into a full service on our unexpected pickup — a 2000 Honda Civic Si (EM1). To ensure a solid foundation for the build, we start with a complete timing belt service, including a new water pump, drive belts, and fresh oil seals.
From there, we handle a full tune-up along with replacing the valve cover gasket and other essential seals to eliminate any potential leaks.
Next, we upgrade the drivetrain by installing a full set of Mugen engine mounts, improving both response and overall driving feel.
To wrap it all up, we refresh every critical fluid on the car — including engine oil and filter, manual transmission fluid, brake and clutch fluid, and engine coolant, bringing this Civic Si back to proper operating condition.
