What changed since 3.0.3
Your saved tunes coming back. After the update, the game changed how it reports vehicle names, so the app started looking for your tunes under a new filename and every car looked empty. This build finds them again automatically.
Diesel tuning
Injector nozzle model (optional). Turn it on and your injectors have a real flow rating that can run out. Command more fuel than the nozzle can physically pass and the power stops climbing, no matter how you tune. Flow rises with the square root of rail pressure, so going from 1200 to 2200 bar is about 1.35x flow, not 1.8x. Fit bigger nozzles or raise rail pressure to get past it.
Smoke limiter (optional). This is the thing on a stock truck that stops it rolling coal. The ECU clamps requested fuel against the air it can actually measure, before injecting. With it on, the only way to more power is more air. There is a live readout showing how much fuel is being refused.
Compression brake (Jake brake). Diesel only, and only on engines that expose the hardware. Uses BeamNG's own compression brake curve, with the output capped relative to the engine so it stays sensible on smaller motors.
Diesel exhaust behaviour. White cold start haze, a short puff of black smoke while the turbo spools that cleans up as boost catches up, and light grey puffs on the compression brake. Diesel stays smoke first and only throws flame rarely, on a genuinely hot aggressive cut.
Exhaust flames
Completely rebuilt. Each event has its own shape and Hotter exhaust means brighter and longer flames, and a cold exhaust barely lights.
Fuel type matters. Petrol gets the orange family, ethanol runs slightly bluer, methanol is pale and faint with no orange core, and diesel is smoke first.
Shift firmness. Requests a shorter, harder shift where the fitted gearbox supports it. Worth knowing that on some cars the vehicle's own shift controller sets a longer minimum and wins, so the effect varies by car.
Shift torque management. Pulls ignition timing during a shift. It feeds the actual power and heat model.
Torque limiter. A configurable torque cap, with an option to apply it only in the low gears. Useful for saving a clutch or getting a car to hook up.
Torque converter stall. Request a stall speed and the app solves for what the fitted converter can actually do using BeamNG's own converter equation, then tells you the achievable number rather than just repeating what you asked for. Leave it at zero and your converter is untouched. Manual and DCT cars correctly hide it.
Converter slip and fluid temperature. Slip power is calculated from converter input minus output. The fluid temperature is clearly labelled as an estimate, because the game does not model ATF temperature itself.
Clutch packages. Fixed ratings at 500, 800, 1300 and 2200 Nm. They never scale off your current power, and they never downgrade a clutch that is already stronger. BeamNG's own heat, wear and permanent damage still apply. There is no unlimited clutch, so a build over 2200 Nm still needs torque limiting or better hardware.
Clutch diagnostics. Tune Doctor now reports live clutch slip, heat and failure.
Fuelling
Alpha-N (BETA) load source (optional). Switch the Fuel Main, Ignition, Lambda and VE tables from manifold pressure to throttle position. This is what you use on engines where the MAP signal is unreliable, like big cams or individual throttle bodies. Boost Target and Wastegate Duty stay on pressure, because boost control needs pressure feedback, and diesel stays on pressure too. Old tunes open as pressure based, nothing is reinterpreted. Tune Doctor warns you if you pick pure Alpha-N on a turbo, which is generally a bad idea because the same throttle angle can mean very different boost.
New lessons
Three new ones: Diesel hardware (nozzles, the smoke limiter and what a VGT actually does), Rolling coal (make it smoke on purpose, then look at what it cost you on the dyno), and Automatic transmission tuning, which needs the vanilla Bruckell Bastion Sport 5.7 (A) and walks through shift firmness, torque management, low gear torque limiting and converter stall. The transmission lesson borrows five settings temporarily and puts them all back when you finish or exit.
Fixes
Remote dashboard. The app was reporting that the server could not start when it was running perfectly, which also hid the buttons for opening the dashboard and copying the address. It now recovers on its own, and a connected browser overrides the false warning.
Phone and tablet access. A follow on from the above. The server would come up but never pick a phone address, so you got a working PC dashboard with a "phone access can't start" message. Both now recover together.
Sound
2-step and anti lag volume. The volume slider was badly scaled. Setting 1 was already at about 76 percent.
