A reading of Rhapsody 23 of the Odyssey by students and faculty at the University of Zagreb. Participants include Neven Jovanović, Ružarijo Lukas, Petar Stjepan Soldo, Katarina Radić, Marta Kontić, Luka Šop, Nikola Sutarić, Josip Parat, Petra Matović, Teo Radić, Ana Katarina Gorički, and Veronika Kralj.

The video includes a combination of 10 video recordings and 3 slideshows. Each participant reads around 30 lines of Book 23 of the Odyssey. The video begins with Neven Jovanović reciting his own Croatian translation in 16-syllable verse (2020). In the subsequent sections, 3 other versions of the Odyssey are read: the original Greek, a Croatian translation by Tomo Maretić (1882), and a Latin translation by Brno Džamanjić (1777), all in dactylic hexameters. Participants were encouraged to include references to ancient Greece and/or Croatia in their videos. Together with popular sites and segments of daily life in the city of Zagreb (e.g. the lively Dolac market in the opening section), the video shows the painting Odysseus Killing the Suitors by Bela Čikoš-Sesija, held at the Croatian Institute of History in Zagreb, and a photo of the so-called Odysseus' Cave on the island of Mljet.
