Dutch ambient-pop collective Ode to the Quiet approach music as a constant unraveling.
The quartet’s 2014 self-titled debut established a special knack for multi-layered songwriting, deftly combining classical music, soundscapes, folk and post-punk.
Initially, Marianne Oldenburg served as the band’s main songwriter, but nowadays Ode to the Quiet have embraced a more intuitive approach, using sound abstraction over fully-written songs as the music’s foundation.
As a result, the band has become a hybrid creature which creates ever changing landscapes to drift on and wander in.
