LFO's Brad Fischetti in remembrance of Devin (Harold) Lima:
"In the months between Devin's diagnosis and disappearance, I wrote him a song. It was born in the Spring of 2018 at the baby-grand piano in his home. It was presented to him in early November, three weeks before he was taken. During the half-year in between, over two dozen of our music friends contributed to the song. From the original LFO band to the current band. From the church group to family. It was a life-altering experience and consumed me for weeks. When the final mix of the song was completed, I felt a strange sense of loss.
As I wrote to Devin when I presented him the song: I love this song because I love you. This song is beautiful because you are beautiful. You inspired this song.
The story of how this song was created will be shared in the coming weeks. In the meantime, the two-song EP, Ode to Harold, is available at your favorite digital music provider. The second song of the EP is called Listen to the Warmth. Devin and I did it together over text message, just days before he disappeared. We played Warmth at his funeral.
I miss Devin and I miss Rich with a sublime ache.
