Track Number 7 from my new album Just A Bit Odd
So the intro was actually the original intro from Weekend Living with Offbeat, but since the piano bit didnt really fit the banger-y vibe of Weekend Living we scrapped it. Fast forward a year and a bit and I rediscovered the project file and thought i had to do something with it for the album even if it was just a skit, slotted half way through the album. So i drew inspiration from the legends Lyre le temps Violetta Swing for the chorus and the rest of the track is history!

Well, well , well. What to say about this one... A lot!
Right before I even started making electro swing I was listening to Lyre Le Temps (in particular Looking Like This which i stumbled across on Funky Pandas channel) which helped hook me into the electro swing genre and showed me how you could blend electro swing with all these different styles. This was early/mid 2015. Fast forward to 2016 and they drop their Prohibition Swing single and album and it completely blew me away, i listened to it soooo much, especially during the time when i was helping to work on Offbeats album (poor offbeat is still probably sick of that album i played it so much haha). But I absolutely love their sound.
During last year when i was talking to Nick from Freshly Squeezed music, he was asking who i would like to collaborate with for the album since itll be made up entirely of collaborations and i thought, obviously LLT my electro swing idols and well it turns out they were keen! So we brainstormed 3 ideas for tracks before we settled on this one. And now it is here, Im over the moon with it and hope you all enjoy listening to it as much as i did creating it! This was one of the first tracks from Offbeats album that we worked on. It took somewhere close to 5 different beat variations and going back on forth to get the perfect vibe for this one. I think this is one of my favourites from the album as it just so emotional and bluesy and I even got to record a guitar solo for the end yus! and needless to say, Offbeats vision and lyrics were 10/10! And lastly, this is a true story about Offbeats relationship with music :)
