We are Our Chatter Matters. We didn’t choose that name because it’s catchy or fancy. We chose it because it’s a vision. It’s a statement. And above all, it is our purpose.
We are here to create a world where every voice has a seat at the table and every chatter truly matters."
The Core Belief
"At the heart of everything we do is one firm belief: Nothing about us, without us. For too long, people with learning disabilities have been sidelined. Decisions have been made for us, instead of with us. Our group exists to end that. We believe that we are the experts in our own lives, and we are finally making sure the rest of the world knows it too."
The Evidence of Impact
"We’ve spent the last few months turning that belief into action. We haven't just stayed in our safe spaces—we’ve taken our message to the halls of power.
We have met with local government members and councillors to put our issues on their map. We have directly shaped the laws that affect us by submitting evidence to the Autism Act. We are proving that when we speak up, the system has to move."
The Forward Motion
"Whether it’s healthcare, education, or our daily rights, we are building a future where our members are their own best advocates. We’re moving forward—one step at a time, one conversation at a time—and we aren’t slowing down."
