Standing on the stage at Ocean Bloom Colorado, I shared a journey that began with a shy little girl who was afraid to speak up- yet somehow found her voice in the ocean. 🌊
That path led me into some of the most extraordinary (and terrifying) encounters imaginable… like dancing on the seafloor with 17-foot tiger sharks, wearing nothing but body paint and a bikini. 🦈✨ What looked like danger was really devotion. I wanted the world to see them not as monsters, but as magnificent, intelligent beings- vital guardians of the ecosystem, holding the balance of our blue planet.
Because while over 1 million sharks are killed every day, they are not the villains of the story. They are keystones of life in the sea.
At Ocean Bloom, I also released my brand new showreel- a glimpse into over 20 years of underwater performance, conservation work, and wild adventures that have shaped my life as a 'Servant of the Sea'. For 22 years I have performed as a real life mermaid.
