What's the big deal about ocean and glacier ice? Ice is freshwater. It can reflect sunlight. Large ice on land that melts can raise sea level. Ice in water that melts can influence ocean circulation. Ice is just cool! That's why NASA studies it. Ice is part of the balance of Earth.
