I had to repay MissValerieTanner for not only the wonderful, thoughtful comments, but for the shout out in a video of hers. She has just been so nice, and being such a great editor herself to think so highly of my work is just unbelievable. I got the inspiration from her, and so I made a video. Think she deserves this little offering C:
She seems to really like Jill and Leon (as I apparently gave her the inspiration from my depressing vent videos with these two) so it seemed fitting to give her a video with these two. I have to admit, I actually really like Josh and Jill, and I am not anti-Chris/Jill... but I am starting to REALLY dig these two together. You know you are excited to see their faux blonde babies ;D
As for the video itself... it was actually a lot of hard work. Lots of cropping, and adjusting speeds to match lips. The lip sync is not as good as it was in the preview of Sony, but I don't want to change the clips because it shows the correct expression.
The most iffy quality thing has to be the correct correction. The colors are so odd in RE5, and so drastically different to RE4, so it took a lot of playing around to have the characters similarly colored. But I can never get the yellow/blue/green contrasts in the "Jill's Alive!" scenes just right.
What makes this crossover video so special and time consuming compared to others is that I was obsessing over every detail to have all the manips be believable. Obviously, some really aren't, but I guess my skill aren't there yet. Or my patience, really.
There is no real story. Just Leon and Jill bickering about how much he wants it, but eh, she ends up being his girl anyway. And she also speaks French. Why? Because I said so.
If you don't understand the very end, Jill walks away from Leon and trips and Leon catches her. And then Jill is all like "Oh, guess this cat and mouse game is over. I am your girl now..." And he is all like, "Oh hell yeah :DDD"
