I just love how this big Polka Dot Crochet Blanket came out. Me and the Hubby really needed a big blanket for our bed and I’ve been putting off this big project for awhile because I knew it would take me so long, so I decided to do it little by little during break times between other projects.
And it’s like they say, taking breaks and procrastinating can help in the craft world to make a project come out better than your original idea, because it gives you time to think about it.
I started off using only the V stitch Cluster stitch because I really liked the polka dot look it created and had always planned on making an afghan from it. During this time I joined in on Moogly’s CAL 2021 so I stopped and designed a square.
I loved the square so much that I decided to incorporate it to the afghan. I wanted to have more of a colored section of the afghan, and I didn’t want to do it with another row of squares. I was stuck for a bit, but once I did a tutorial on the Clover Crochet Stitch I knew I had found the stitch I was looking for.
Once I had my color strip section done I knew it was smooth sailing to finish the V stitch Clusters to the end.
