Every spring in Maine, amphibians make their way from their winter shelters in the woods to their spring breeding grounds, under the cover of night. There's just one problem: roadways.

Founded in 2018, Maine's Big Night organizes volunteers across the state to ensure Maine's amphibians successfully make their journey, while collecting valuable data. See what this community conservation effort is all about in this segment from Borealis Season Three!
