We made it. Class of 2021, WoD is now officially 10 years old. We graduated into big kid clothes now!
Seriously, 10 years? I cannot believe it.
40 amazing MEPS and they just keep getting better. With the huge success of our last masking storytelling MEP I wanted to create another because they are fun and really bring everyone together
Everyone pulled through and some even used their own maskings!
We hope you enjoy our storytelling of Lightning in this WoD universe we are creating, it falls in the same universe as our ''Enter the Dream MEP''. We felt it ironic to use a character named Light for a project in a studio dedicated to the darkness.
I adore WoD. Everyone in WoD is amazing and shows their heart and skill in our MEPS, honestly could not be more proud of them all.

Story:
Lightning is enjoying her retirement in a bar when she is tracked down by Adam and Aqua (the A team) who report that General Redfield is calling her back into the fray for an upcoming mission, to defeat Ardyn and Caius who have been causing chaos in Vahalla.
Reluctantly she agrees and is taken to her attacking squad; Noctis and Sephiroth.
General Chris Redfield briefs them on the mission and they make their way to the battlefield and begin a vicious assault on the two villans.
The fight is hard and the attacking seem to be overpowered when a twist occurs....

Welcome to the 12th MEP for WoD!
I really have to hand it to you guys, everyone who signed up for this MEP edited in it. No replacements needed! :D You have no idea how happy that makes me. Wings of Darkness is my family and the fact you guys are dedicated to it pleases me no end.
There was no theme for this project, it was a Freestyle Darkstyle without footage restrictions. Editors could edit whatever game they wanted and this is the result ;D impressive right?!
All the Darkstylers without even being told to, all made their parts in similar colours and flows and ya know what? Im not even bothered that it was a little late on the deadline - this in my opinion was well worth the wait!
This has taught me something, good things come in time. I should learn to be a bit more patient so I apologize to my members if I seemed pushy.
Sometimes I let my excitement take over sometimes lol
Just a heads up for our audience, WoDs has changed its layout of MEPS. So far nearly all our MEPS have been themed and character based since WoD is very heavily Character REP based.
But from now on, every even number of MEPS will be a Freestyle one.
Our 12th, 14th, 16th and 18th MEP will be freestyle - letting the awesome Darkstylers show off their true Dark cores and just let the world know what Darkstyle is.
Also on another note; Wings of Darkness is taking a small hiatus. As this is a very stressful time for most of the members due to work, college exams, computer issues or general health - I have decided to let my members take a small break and focus on their other priorities.
WoD will resume November 25th and we will return with an impressive MEP with something we have never done before. Keep your eyes peeled!

Welcome to the 8th MEP for WoD!
Its finally up... two whole weeks after the deadline.
This MEP was a bit different from usual, as we were allowed to use any and all game footages including the game based movies such as Advent Children and Spirits Within.
This was a bit of a hard time for members participating since most are busy with schoolwork and other priorities so I called help for 3 Guest spots from artlessangel, hevanibelheim and SquallHC :D I seriously hope these guys audition for a spot in WoD because they saved this MEP from sitting in the closet collecting dust!

Hello again!
This is our 19th MEP! WoD is very excited, we recently own 5th place Best Group project for the GMV Awards 2015, and with this news we were pumped to get into editing for 2017!
I personally love this MEP with every fiber of my being, such amazing darkstyle editing by my Darkstylers, everyone gave 100% effort and no one let me down, I never doubted any of them.
You guys are amazing, I love you all.
I know we have all come to recognize Wings of Darkness as GMV studio that focuses on Darkstyle editing, but we are more than just that, we are a family, and in our projects we demonstrate positive messages and awareness about the world. Venting is a powerful tool when we project it into the timeline in an edit.
With this MEP, I wanted to go back to that and showcase our awesome characters, instead of beings of darkness/evil, we are the ones that can show the light and no better than with this song.
We welcome MissLadyYuna into our beloved studio of Darkness! I met her through XRinoaBCX and boy I am glad to find another awesome grunge editor who can bring such good dark/horror edits to the stage! Pleased to have you MissLadyYuna!

This MEP theme is the 7 Deadly Sins. You know the ones, Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy and one I hold very dear to my heart - Pride. The aim of this MEP was to pick a character that can easily show any one of these traits and edit them showing them at their most sinful moments.
With this MEP, WoD took a bold step and edited our first ever ANIME ONLY MEP - for the past 6 years we have just done games but its great to see many of our members took up the challenge and edited anime even if they were not familiar with them.
I think we all did very well :)

First of all, just wanted to say Im very happy with how we communicate - most of our members are currently going through things in the offline hence why a hiatus, but the ones who arent are willing to step up and cover their parts. Thnak you so much for the ones who covered extra parts.

Secondly, this has got to be most hardest theme we have done yet and a few of you pulled it off extremely well!

The theme we will use for this one is of Fallen Angels and a paradise that failed us.
We were promised redemption but given damnation.
Just a heads up for our audience, WoDs has changed its layout of MEPS. So far nearly all our MEPS have been themed and character based since WoD is very heavily Character REP based.
But from now on, every even number of MEPS will be a Freestyle one.
Our 12th, 14th, 16th and 18th MEP will be freestyle - letting the awesome Darkstylers show off their true Dark cores and just let the world know what Darkstyle is.

Hi Darkstylers
hey can we get refunds on 2020, I think ours is broken.
While the world spins, you count on Wings of Darkness to keep delivering you amazing MEPS - we had started this MEP in January, in the beforetimes and were going with the theme of vengeance, we all chose a video game character that represented vengeance or did vengeful things in their stories.
We were gonna make 2020 ours with a vengeance.
We are all aware of the state of the world and all doing our best to keep safe and protect those around us who may be at risk. All of us are in self-isolation and others are practicing social distancing, doing all we can to slow down the chaos in the world right now.
WoD is a studio that while style specific, we also tackle some hard topics that is real-world darkness, and while this theme may not be as appropiate now as it was 2 months ago, we still want you all to enjoy yourself and even for a moment, forget the crap thats happening and just enjoy watching our projects.

This is it. We made it. 30 MEPS, 8 years.
This one is special - and as something we havent really done before, a proper story MEP.
I have always wanted to do a story MEP and who better to do one with than that of my loyal studio members whom I have edited with for all 8 years that WoD has been around!
Despite half the studio currently on hiatus, the remaining editors were happy to agree to a story MEP and we all worked so well on this. Everysingle editor in this put their heart and soul into it and made a story that was hopefully easy to follow and is mind blowing!
Story:
Yuna is our protagonist in this MEP, she is a mercenary hired by Vergil to invesitgate rumors he has heard. He assigns her to go with Leon Kennedy who has had experience dealing with these types of Missions. After the two get acquainted, they head to Raccoon City together to immediately find the city in chaos - infected are walking about and eating the civilians. Leons research into Raccoon city led him to believe that a bomb was hidden in the city expected to blow to wipe away the infection before it spreads - the two attempt to stop it but are stopped by Wesker.
The two struggle to defeat Wesker and unfortunately the bomb explodes before they were able to stop it
Just as the blastwave hits Yuna, she awakes in sweat and fright.
As she realizes it was just a dream, she looks at her phone and it has the same message on it as it did at the start of her dream...was it a dream or was it actually a prediction of the future?
Thank you to xRougebutterfly for supplying background images of Resident Evil 2 remake, it has came in handy when masking characters into backgrounds and also for helping me find a colouring that is unique to this project! Youre awesome.
A special massive thank you to Militaaris - this grogeous woman assisted with masking of Yuna. A fair few masks you see in this video were done by her and they are absolutely stunning!

Welcome to the 16th MEP for WoD!
Everyone always complains to me saying that its really hard to pull off a multi-fandom MEP because of flow reasons - my argument to this is, it can be pulled off, only with editors who can work together to make it work.
WoD has become my editing family, the closest people to me who edit with me, some editing with me since the studio started - we know each others skills and styles, all varying degrees of darkstyle and behold! We can produce this MEP with minimal interruption of flow from Live Action to Games! Great work Darkstylers!
Side note: No one needed replacing in this MEP, awesome Darkstylers!
We say a special farewell but not goodbye to ParadoxSun [Friendsaremypower] who has made the personal choice to stick with her own studios, but we may see her again in future MEPS if we ask politely :P Best of luck Paradox!
