In this PTB, the ghost system has been revamped, and it makes much more sense now imo. The game waits for the full life cycle of an input (press+release of a button) before registering a ghost if no note is hit.

With this, they’re trying out 2 new ghosting-based engines. The 1st is currently set as the default (meaning the old default is not present), and it only allows 2 ghosts per note before missing. The 2nd is spam meter mode (the one I used in this video), which has a sort of accuracy health bar that goes up when you hit notes and down when you ghost, and if the bar reaches the bottom, you miss.

I think this is all very cool. I like the new features very much. Don’t just freak out since the normal clone hero engine isn't in the PTB. It has been said that the normal engine will be in the final release of v1.1. So everybody calm down and give the new features a try (and try not to rage at the lagspikes).
