So appalling. This is from the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute's 33rd Annual Award Gala (full video at youtube.com/watch?v=Kd7ZQZxDhjk). Obama starts to cite the Declaration of Independence.
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
Except that Obama, when he sees the "endowed by their Creator" bit on the teleprompter, frowns. And takes a moment to think how to rephrase it without that part. And changes "that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights" to "endowed with certain unalienable Rights".
What a pig.
