Oatley Railway Station in (NSW) Australia was recently upgraded with a new overhead walkway with lift access from road to platform.
This is a short historical journey from pre-upgrade to the finished product.
The new stairway on the western side is a bit of a 'white elephant' however the lift is a blessing for the elderly and disabled using the station. Actually, the lift shaft should've been excavated BENEATH the platform instead of ABOVE it for the western side access, that way, no need for the many many steps. You would simply access the lift from the western side through a short tunnel entrance, then straight up in the lift to platform level.
FIRST LEVEL - Overhead walkway to Eastern Side
PLATFORM LEVEL - Station platform
LG LEVEL - Street level western side.
Fortunately, the short flight of stairs that you access in the subway still remain.
