Lauren Willig, author of "Band of Sisters", a novel based on the true story of Smith alumnae who risked their lives to bring aid to villagers in Grécourt, France during World War I, talks about her book with will historian Jennifer Hall-Witt, research affiliate in Smith’s history department, and "New York Times" bestselling author Sarah MacLean ’00. They explored the history of the Smith College Relief Unit and how Willig’s novel has led to renewed interest in its accomplishments.
