#listofdeaths #attackontitan #ShingekinoKyojin3 Best Books To Read For A Beginner, Veteran And Expert, From Various Genres – Part 6Get Free Ebooks2022-02-09 | Books have a preferred writing style that makes comprehension easy for readers who have mastered a certain level of fluency in reading a language. One of the secrets to acquiring knowledge is to read. A lot. Picking up a book and reading the words is the easy part. Reading to understand is much harder. The key is not simply to read more but rather be selective about what we read and how we are reading.
If a book is too hard, you become frustrated and discouraged; a book that’s too easy is boring. Knowing your reading level is the key to match yourself with the most appropriate yet, challenging books. The best way to grow as a reader is by reading text that’s not too hard and not too easy, or what some call the “independent” reading level. A right book at your level is a book that stretches your reading skills just a bit — not so much as to make you frustrated but enough to continue your growth as a reader.
This post’s main objective is all about that – breaking down books into 3 distinctive levels (Beginner, Veteran and Expert) for all genres imaginable. We’ve collected suggestions from passionate readers over at Reddit covering over 100 genres, so we’ll be breaking it up into smaller posts covering 10 genres each. Do take note that one’s selections and definition of different reading levels may differ from one to another, but it’s definitely a great reference.
In this sixth post, we’ll be covering genres from Philosophy, Fantasy, Religion & Literature, Nostalgia, Science, Southern Gothic, Canadian Literature, Fantasy, 19th Century British / Irish Literature and Italian Classic Literature.
We hope this compilation helps you in a lot of ways regardless of your reading levels, and do stay tuned for the continuation of this “Post Series”.

In only a few phrases, Frank Herbert proves that you don't need to show or explain things; a simple reference of a prior occurrence can supply all the necessary reasons for why the universe is the way it is.
Arrakis is a fantastic place. When there's an appendix outlining Arrakis' ecosystem, you know Herbert was serious about making it feel like a real place. The lack of water on Arrakis is a harsh contrast to the protagonist's home world, and the sandworms' threat is well conveyed.
Herbert also did a fantastic job with the politics in this book. Because we get to observe characters scheming and reacting to schemes from their own views, the story's continually shifting perspective allows this to shine.

10 Tips and Rules on How to Write Better and Faster by Stephen King (Motivational Speech) - from various sources
This is a combination of multiple speeches King has done in the past which has been shortened and summarized into 6 minutes of goodness.
We created this motivational speech with hope that all authors will continue to persevere regardless of the obstacles and failures they faced in the past and the ones that they're currently facing. Don't stop writing!
“Writers remember everything...especially the hurts. Strip a writer to the buff, point to the scars, and he'll tell you the story of each small one. From the big ones you get novels. A little talent is a nice thing to have if you want to be a writer, but the only real requirement is the ability to remember the story of every scar. Art consists of the persistence of memory.” ― Stephen King, Misery

William Henry Gates III is an American business magnate, software developer, and philanthropist. He is best known as the co-founder of Microsoft Corporation. A RE t age 31, Bill Gates became the youngest American billionaire, a record that held from 1987 until 2010, when Mark Zuckerberg became a billionaire at age 23. Bill and Melinda Gates have given $45.5 billion to charitable causes, including the eponymously named Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, since 1994, CNBC reported, citing the Chronicle of Philanthropy. In 2019, the couple donated $589 million to charity, making them the seventh most philanthropic people last year.
Bill Gates is an incredibly busy man, but he always makes time to read. "Reading books is my favorite way to learn about a new topic," he wrote on his blog. "I've been reading about a book a week on average since I was a kid. An avid lifelong learner himself, Bill Gates knows a thing or two about studying. He reads about 50 books per year, which breaks down to one per week and frequently updates his book reviews on his blog. He takes steps to ensure that he actually absorbs all the material he's read - he takes notes while reading, which helps him reflect on the material. In 2019, Gates read more fiction than usual. “It wasn't a conscious decision, but I seemed to be drawn to stories that let me explore another world,” he wrote on the blog.
Gates has written three books:
The Road Ahead written with Microsoft executive Nathan Myhrvold and journalist Peter Rinearson, was published in November 1995. It summarized the implications of the personal computing revolution and described a future profoundly changed by the arrival of a global information superhighway.
Business @ the Speed of Thought was published in 1999, and discusses how business and technology are integrated, and shows how digital infrastructures and information networks can help to get an edge on the competition.
How to Avoid a Climate Disaster was published in 2021, Gates shares what he has learned in over a decade of studying climate change and investing in innovations to address climate problems.

Some may be delighted by the natural world – discovering a plant or beetle you’ve never seen before, walking in the forest, sitting by the ocean, gazing at the moon and stars, listening to music and language – these things fill you with such intense awe and joy. You feel a purpose and a connection to this planet. We fill our brains with bullshit clickbait, disposable coffee cups and disposable everything, porn with fake pleasure and fake orgasms devoid of all emotion, fake conversations, fake personalities, fake emotions, instant gratification everything, bullshit news, bullshit fucking everything. How can humans be so great, so miraculous, so talented, so capable yet so completely selfish, shallow, robotic, consumerist? Do you feel like we are a shitty dystopian fantasy novel?
More compassion, less greed, teaching these morals at an early age. A different system to Capitalism or at least lessen the damage done by Capitalism i.e minimize the wage gap between workers and CEO’s.
There is misery and injustice in the world. Lots of it. It has ever been thus, and probably always will be. But to say the world is totally messed up is just factually wrong. Obscure books are those that are not super popular and probably not many people have heard of. You can call them the "underdogs" in the literature world if you may, hidden treasures or just simply uncharted territories of new adventures. Looking at the big picture, they may be obscure for being mediocre or weird as well, but the collection presented herein will only cover those that are interesting and worth exploring.
Understandably, every list such as this one is very subjective to one's reading tastes and choices, and 35 is definitely a very small number to cover a more thorough and complete list. Regardless, we do hope that at least one or more of the books listed here could spark an interest in your next selection, ultimately pushing them further out of the obscure category.

#obscurebooks #notpopularbooks #underdogbooks19 Must Read Mental Health Books in Literary Fiction ClassicsGet Free Ebooks2021-02-27 | Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood.
Mental illness awareness means bringing down the walls of stigma by sharing our experiences, stories, and truths. It means educating others on what mental illness REALLY is, and helping those with illnesses know they are not alone. Mental health awareness also increases the chances for early intervention, which can result in a fast recovery. Awareness reduces negative adjectives that have been set to describe our people with a metal illness. By raising awareness, mental health can now be seen as an illness. These illnesses can be managed by treatment.
Good mental health is characterised by a person's ability to fulfil a number of key functions and activities, including: the ability to learn. the ability to feel, express and manage a range of positive and negative emotions. the ability to form and maintain good relationships with others.
Here are some simple steps you can take to help raise the collective consciousness about mental health where you live:
- Talk with everyone you know. - Open up about your experience. - Encourage kind language. - Educate yourself about mental illness. - Coordinate a mental health screening event. - Volunteer. - Leverage social media.

#booksummary #theleanstartup #ericries126 Short Story Books That You Can Read In One SittingGet Free Ebooks2019-10-24 | The definition of short stories is quite subjective, but some would say that it should remain below 7,000 words in order to be considered as one. They also can be as short as only one sentence which also known as flash fiction. Facing limitations, authors have to creatively squeeze and balance among the four of the most popular elements that really make a story stand out – character, plot, setting, and tension. Nonetheless, some authors simply love writing in this category and find the challenge of creating a story with constricted word count fun.
Regardless of your reading objectives, whether its quality or quantity, this list represents a guide in which you can find stories that you can finish in a sitting, maybe two. The titles that you find here range from 41 pages to 369 pages long. To those who wish to take a break from a previous long-read or just to steer towards a different reading style, we hope you sit down to read these stories, maybe after a bit of gardening, maybe while lying in the bed lazying around, as the sun is setting down or when it’s rising. After finishing one or a couple, that should spur you to try to read dozens more.

#villains #literature #villainsinliterature63 of the Longest Reads of Popular Book SeriesGet Free Ebooks2019-10-22 | Book series here include lengths over 300 volumes to just 3 volumes (not counting the amount of pages per book). The fantasy genre is known for extremely long stories, particularly of the epic variety. It could be fairly easy to finish a long book series for some, but due to various elements such as time constraints, this may take up weeks or months to complete. Ultimately they’re definitely worth reading and the experience are just edifying, entertaining, hilarious, educational, or all of the above.
Reading for a long time can be meditative and assumes a pleasant rhythm for long stretches. At other times it feels maddeningly dull, and you’ll be scanning pages with your eyes but not really reading anything at all, and have to go back to where you last remember. But do not give up fellow bookworms, take a break and continue the adventure at a later time, helped along by a cup of coffee or tea once in a while.

First published in 1989, it is a business and self-help book. Covey presents an approach to being effective in attaining goals by aligning oneself to what he calls "true north" principles based on a character ethic that he presents as universal and timeless.
Covey defines effectiveness as the balance of obtaining desirable results with caring for that which produces those results. He illustrates this by referring to the fable of the goose that laid the golden eggs. He further claims that effectiveness can be expressed in terms of the P/PC ratio, where P refers to getting desired results and PC is caring for that which produces the results.
