So the quality is very bad, but it's still a good video for reference After the No Mercy video, I start using a new PC, so the quailty jumps way up to 1080p AND no more XboxOne yay!!
Back to Commentary videos. I have been playing this game for many months now, and I wanted to be able to beat all the campaigns on expert with bots, so I put in effort to try and figure it out.
Will be starting off with the "easier" campaigns and work my way up.
Hopefully will not die multiple times from bad luck.
This is mostly a walkthrough for myself since I get the feeling I will be moving on from this game soon. It took me months to get to this level of gameplay (not pro skillz, but to a level where all levels can be enjoyed casually).
This is especially useful to people who need the Still Something to Prove achievement but have to do it Single Player for whatever reason (No one to play with, friends have bad schedule or not interested, etc.) and may need to see someone doing it in order to get through the mental block.
These videos aren't intended to show how to do things solely "the intended way" or the best way. They are mostly done to show how to do things easily enough (without exploits) to get through parts of the games if you enjoy it casually. It's a weird feeling when you stop playing a game and have to relearn everything from scratch especially with my terrible memory.
I think the only exploits I am aware of are "skipping" the roller coaster in Dark Carnival & disabling the decay for temporary health.
This campaign is the easiest one in the game.
Tips: -1st level, use magnum
-2nd level, there are a minimum of 8 medkits on this level, so do not feel like you can't heal (4 in safe house + 4 at gun shop)
-3rd level, take it slow during the crescendo and use a sniper or chainsaw if you want an easy time. Preferably a sniper to keep infected a safe distance.
-Finale, you may not even fight a tank. If you have an adrenaline shot, gather the 8 scavenger cans and place them in front of the car, use the adrenaline shot then empty the fuel into the car. Very easy. Even if you don't use the adrenaline shot, a tank may not even appear. you can pretty much just melee infected for the most part because the bots do a great job of protecting you.

Playing against Jace and Ajani, you are able to clearly see the problems with this deck. The issues being:
1) No easy way to counter flying creatures consistently, so you have to use either: a. Goblin Balloon Brigade with Goblin Chieftan buffing it b. Lowland Oaf to give flying +1 power to a Goblin who will be sacrificed (which isn't an issue if he dies while blocking).
2) No way to get rid of enchantments
It's not really an issue when playing 1v1, but when it comes to FFA, you are playing to the extremes.
In order to compensate for the above issues, I added Smelt. It's not really a substitute, but it allows me to destroy artifacts (just in case), and I have to use Siege-Gang Commander, Arms Dealer, and Goblin Artillery heavily to get rid of any flyers.
If I ever do this again, I will probably add Lowland Oaf to ease the burden of being unable to block flying creatures, and I will consider removing Goblin Fireslinger & maybe both Smelts.

So the rules for this Challenge Run are: 1) I can only edit my deck during a run of the regular campaign (or if I start over the Revenge Campaign essentially since the regular campaign to too easy anyways). 2) Once I beat the Regular campaign and go to Revenge & Free For All (FFA), I will not edit my deck unless I start over with that deck in the Revenge campaign. (since regular mode is just to give a flavor of how well this deck will do, and it's not difficult at all) 3) The Free For All will consist of Me & 3 opponents of the same deck. (e.g. Me with the Goblin deck vs 3 Talrands)
I will not be doing the planeswalker campaign just because it takes way too long and it's too chaotic. If the game had faster load times, I would enjoy it.
Also, the difficulty is set to Planeswalker which is the "hard" difficulty.
I did this challenge with all the default decks last year, and it was sick. The Goblin deck shouldn't be too difficult to beat this challenge with since it is one of the easier decks to use.
Other decks will have a much harder time since they don't have the same level of Synergy that Goblin Gangland does.
To better explain the 2 problems I have with recording on Xbox 360 vs the Xbox One. 1) XBOne allows me to have a temporary save (yes sometimes it turns off by itself, but it's better for the really long games, if I have to go somewhere). While with the 360, I have to leave it on for who knows how long.
2) I can record in 2K on the XBOne. The 360 only allows up to 1080p.
*So they are not really problems, it's more for convenience. After this video, I bought a new controller am using my wife's controller until the new one arrives. I recorded this the same day as the Hard Rain one. I like how easy it is to have fun while playing this one. It doesn't have many cheap parts like other campaigns.
Things to Do: In the Waterfront, you can use either gun, but preferably you get a night stick for your sidearm. The hardest part about this level is the alarm car near the end, but as long as you don't get overrun, you should be OK. Either rush to the right of the car, or activate it on purpose and hang out in the building while the horde attacks.
In the Park, you can have up to 14 medkits in this level (4 you carry over, 4 at the beginning, 2 at the humvee, 2 at the tent, 2 in the crescendo structure). There are weapons on every side of the hedgemaze, so you may want to go around to see what they have. Once you reach the crescendo, you want to make sure you turn around occasionally for the bots to catch up. Keep doing this until you reach the alarm. Use any extra medkits you have before you activate the crescendo since you can't go back.
In the Cemetery, this level is straightforward, so you don't have much to worry about. The beginning has a consistent incoming horde once you get into a bad spot on the other side of the saferoom, but you should be fine if you have a melee, sniper, or pipe bomb. Go back to the beginning if you have extra medkits before you jump into the sewer since you can't go back. Also if you intend to go up to the sewers before you head back to the beginning for more medkits, you need to have either an adrenaline shot or pills unless you have green health. You can't make the jump from the trailer to the house unless your health is above 40. Once you are in the sewer, if a Tank spawns here, just ran back to where you fell while everyone fires at the Tank. Once you reach the car alarm graveyard, you want to either rush ahead if there was already an incoming horde or just pick off infected until you get rid of special infected that can drag you to a car (Smoker, Jockey, Charger). Medkits usually spawn in the ambulance above this area. Sometimes a Medkit also spawns at the end near the saferoom on the desks in the final room.
In the Quarter, if you have extra medkits, you want to use them since I don't believe you can walk back to the beginning. This level is very fun. Once you reach the crescendo, I would go underneath the stairs. If you have any throwables on the roof, manually move any throwables under the stairs (like I do in the vid). The rest of the level is much easier. Just be careful of any witches. When you reach the end, make sure you use any extra medkits to heal everyone. Also make sure everyone will have at least 4 medkits for the Finale.
For the Bridge, I would recommend a sniper (not the bolt-action) because you can pierce through so many enemies with it and it has 30 rounds per reload. For the Tank, just do the same thing like you did in Hard Rain by circling around the upper highway. For most of the level you want to inch forward slowly while firing in front of you. The bots should be able to cover your back. Once you reach the scaffolding after the Tank, you want to make sure no bots fall behind, so pay attention to your team while you move forward. Once you reach the vehicle with the ladder on the back, if you have a boomer bile, you should be able to throw boomer bile once you are on top (you should also use an adrenaline shot now just to help you melee any zombies in the way and also for the speed boost). However, if you don't have boomer bile but you have a pipe bomb, throw the pipe bomb behind you or in front of you (to the opposite side of the humvee with the other pipe bombs). This should give you enough time to run to the helicopter. I have never had more than 1 bot survive with me until the end at least 2 always go down. At the end if you still have multiple bots alive, you can either attempt the run the Tank in circles while the bots arrive to the helicopter or you can just down them all, so when you get on the helicopter, the level will end. Otherwise, you'll have an experience like I did in the video.
Thanks for watching!

Things to Do: The Milltown is the hardest Level 1 for any campaign. Get the sniper, so you can get rid of the infected in one shot. Also get the magnum just so you have more firepower if you go down. If you are playing on xbox, the bots will get other Tier 2 weapons once you go near the blue house since they can grab them through the wall. If you are on PC, you are stuck with all bots using sniper until they find weapons. Never run through the middle in this level. You want to hug a wall and shoot all zombies. This will help with getting overrun. You also want to conserve the sniper ammo since you want to use it for the majority of this level (and the 2nd level). Hopefully you find a military rifle in this level or the next level. A Tank can spawn, but it should be no problem with all the snipers. Do not feel bad about using all the medkits in this level (6 spawn in the beginning). You most likely won't be using them during the finale along with throwables (other than a boomer bile).
The Sugar Mill is one of the hardest levels in the game. Dark Carnival's levels are mostly difficult to finish because of the crescendos. You either want to use a shotgun or a sniper. If you don't care about backtracking, use a sniper and then when you run back, get a shotgun to deal with the extra witches. The reason why I do this is because I don't like running into any witches if a tank spawns in a bad area. However this isn't necessary, so you can continue forward if you like. You may just want to run back to the beginning if you have extra medkits before you take the elevator down to the "Corn Field" area. During the crescendo you could either hang out at the top of the "parking structure" or you could run towards the storage tank with the ladder (near the building with weapons just outside.
Mill Escape is very easy to backtrack. I think the worst part is the beginning in front of the corn fields. You can throw a pipe bomb in the middle just to clear out the area, then continue to the safe room. Nothing much to be said. This level is a breather compared to the prior 2.
Return to Town is also an easy level. If you get a tank, you will have to use your guns since if you us a molotov, there is a good chance he will touch a puddle and extinguish the flame. Another easy level.
The Town Escape finale is an easier finale than the rest. I would list this one as the 2nd easiest of the Left 4 Dead 2 Campaigns. Just hang out on the roof, cover your bots, and run around in circles for the tank. Once both Tanks are dealt with, wait on the roof until you hear the horde (and hopefully the tank) spawn. Sometimes it can be cheap and the tank will spawn so close that you can't escape to the boat on time (since the boat takes forever to dock), so sometimes the Tank will reach you before the boat arrives. If this happens you want to stay on the roof for as long as possible, and throw boomer bile away from the boat. Then as the tank is chasing you in circles on the roof (and the horde is attacking the bile), you want to jump on the boat once it finally docks.

It's the best one for a fun time. I used to think this one was impossible without another human to deal with the 2nd Tank in the Finale, but it's not as difficult once you figure out how to go about it.
Things to Do: For Plank Country, you want to find a boomer bile or a pipe bomb. When you get the ferry crescendo, you want to throw these somewhere, so that you are able to get to a safe area (preferably the beginning). Sometimes a Tank spawns before the ferry. If he does, you want to run back to the beginning while the bots shoot him, so that you can hang out behind the wire fence and fire. This is safe, since the Debris he throws won't hit you from behind the fence. Once you cross the ferry you want to walk on the land on the left side. If there is nothing blocking your way, once you reach the fork in the road, I prefer to take the right-path (items), but in the video, I take the left-path since there was a boomer and a witch in the area. Either way, you will reach the sniper at the choke point. Sometimes below the stairs (when you exit the choke point), there is a witch that spawns there, so it's easy to die from it, if you don't realize it's down there. If you happen to have another boomer bile this late in the level, you can throw it and make a dash towards the exit. If you throw it later than I did in the video, you should be able to make it to the end without having to even fight the horde.
In the Swamp, You want to go forward and take all the infected out in the open area in the beginning. When you reach the airplane crescendo, you can try running back to that small pier (where weapons spawn), so that you can hang out in that destroyed house. I never realized this was a good spot until I did this video. The horde should be easy enough to deal with. If you have extra medkits at the beginning, you should go back and use them now. Once you go past the airplane, eventually you will reach a house with 2 more medkits. Just go slowly and stick together. Ideally you want to get a magnum in this level (for the finale) because it seems that this is the only level you can consistently get one.
In the Shanty Town, this level is really easy and fun. The lever crescendo area is surrounded by water, so make sure you know your way back when you activate it. You should try to go back to the beginning to collect or use extra medkits, just so you have to as much HP as possible for the finale. I don't have much to say for this level other than this is my favorite level in this campaign. It's not cheap, and everything seems straightforward.
In the Plantation, if you don't already have a magnum (and have a melee weapon), you want to get dual pistols to conserve ammo if you the ammo spawn is in a bad spot. I would use a magnum, but I was forced to use pistols. You can use a sniper to clear the horde (which I didn't realize was a good idea until I did this video). I normally have either a shotgun or rifle with magnum, but I decided to use the military sniper, and that was a good idea. To deal with the 2 Tanks, you want to try to line them up, so that you can light them both on fire at the same time or at least light one on fire, while you fire bullets at either the fired tank or the undamaged tank. If you get rid of one it's a lot easier. One tactic I use to try and get them together, is I wait for them to spawn near the house, then I run across the field. Sometimes they get together, but other times they don't and bots start to die. Worst case scenario, if a bot goes downs, you can try to kill the downed bot by shooting them, but I wouldn't recommend that. This finale seems hit or miss, but it's not. This campaign is a lot easier for me than the No Mercy one.

I don't enjoy this campaign with bots. It's a big commitment since I usually finish this within 3 hours. If you have time to kill, this the campaign to play. *I may have missed a death, but I''m not sure where?
Things to Do: In the Highway, just pick a weapon and stick together, until you reach the Hunting Rifle. This is the only level that spawns a boomer bile (other than the finale), so if you want to save one for the Coaster or the Barns, then you need to find one here. If you don't find one, you can still beat the campaign with Pipe bombs, but boomer bile, makes it soooo much easier. Try to also get a melee weapon or a chainsaw. A magnum is not an ideal choice because you will have a Sniper for the entire campaign. This level is difficult for a 1st level, but it's not too bad. The hardest part is everything before the valley. Try to be aware of your ammo, you will sometimes run out of ammo in the valley, but ammo does drop occasionally. The Tanks before the valley is easy enough to deal with you may just have to run back to the beginning while you fire at it. Remember to get the Hunting Rifle in this level. You will keep this until you get a Military Sniper.
The Fairground is an easy level, but it can be cheap sometimes. Just make sure to throw a fuel can over the gate (towards that tall fun slide area), so you can kill a Witch if it spawns there. Also if a witch spawns in the crescendo area, just shoot it and while it climbs its way up the fence, you can kill it. If you can beat the 1st level, you can beat this level since it's easier.
I used to think the Coaster was impossible to beat with bots, but it's possible. You just a sniper and a melee weapon or Chainsaw. If a witch spawns on the coaster though, you will die, unless a bot startles her. Your only option here is to shoot the witch in the "cul-de-sac" where you activate the coaster. As for being on the tracks, you want to either kill a smoker before you cross that curvy area (the part without safety fails) since a Smoker will grab you and pull you off the tracks. Same with a Charger. But sometimes you have to go ahead, otherwise you will run out of bullets. Where the tracks drop off to an ammo drop, you want to wait until there aren't any annoying special infected, but sometimes bots will fall of the track (like Rochelle did) and they will down themselves. There is nothing you can do about it, so you can try to ditch the bots at this point, but there is a good chance you will die no matter what you do,. When you reach the end of the crescendo to stop the horde, you should hang out in the little house where you push the button. Even if the bots go down, stay here until the horde stops attacking. This is tied with the Barns for being the most difficult level in this GAME by me of course :)
In the Barns, you want to try to find a Pipe Bomb (or keep your Boomer bile from the 1st level). You will use this during the crescendo once you reach the end of the road (where I throw it in the video). The boomer bile can be thrown much earlier if you prefer, but if you throw it near the end, nothing can stop you from making it to the end...other than a Tank. If you have not killed a Tank in this level, there is a chance one could spawn in the saferoom. I think the only thing you can do to prevent this is to throw a pipebomb or a molotov into the safe room (from outside the fence) then you would fight it here instead of dying to it at the end.
At the Concert, I would hang out at the left-side (facing out from the stage) on Xbox, but on PC you can hang out in the middle or the right-side. I just noticed. If you want to go to the right-side, you can do so if you were to go to the middle. (so basically make your way to the middle, then go to the right-side). You can use any gun,, but I would choose a magnum for your sidearm since the guitar sucks as melee weapon. Hopefully, the level spawns with 2 molotovs, but if it doesn't you can improvise with fuel cans or fireworks. I guess you could throw all of them in the middle where I was hanging out in the video, but it may take some time to do so. The best area for ammo to spawn is on the bleachers (same for the medkits). If anything spawns on the stage, you won't have enough time to refresh before a horde or Tank arrives to the party. Don't forget a Sniper & molotov spawn in that tower. Use defib units if bots are at non-green health before the crescendo begins to save on medkits.

This is my favorite campaign even though my friends hated it.
Things to Do: In The Woods, select either weapon, and try to stay on the left side of the map (so that no zombies can attack you on your left side. The "hard" part is getting to the bridge before the mobile home. Inside the trailer, you can find ammo, bombs, sidearms, and sometimes laser sights. Past this area, you can find pills and special ammo near the fence/concrete area. Near the end, if you want to ensure you don't get hit, either shoot the infected while keeping your distance from the safe room or just throw a pipe bomb into the forest. *GLITCH: 00:04:21 I set up incendiary rounds, but the bots don't want to pick it up.
In The Tunnel, If you found laser sights in the 1st level, you will ditch them for Tier 2 guns. There is no reason to keep Tier 1 & laser sights over Tier 2 w/ no laser. The beginning part is easy enough (before you reach the crescendo). For the crescendo, I run back to the top. You can even ran back to the beginning if you want. You can also run into the "basement" area below the building you use to walk onto the bridge. Sometimes a Tank will spawn in the area before crescendo, after you open the crescendo door or near the end in the train yard. ***WARNING: Do NOT hang out in the area near the crescendo door. If you get grabbed by a Smoker, Charger, or Hunter YOU WILL DIE. This area seems to have an oversight with the bot's pathfinding.
In The Bridge, you want to ideally have either a boomer bile or a chainsaw for the final crescendo. The beginning part before you reach the building on top of the hill is the hardest part of this level. A Tank can spawn in the beginning near that log, or up on the hill where that witch spawned, or in the building past the witch. I'm not sure if it can spawn in the train yard. Just stick together and go slowly once you reach the trainyard to minimize damage. If you get to the house, you can either use Pills if you are low on health (to save Medkits) or just collect pills and use your Medkit. Once you get to the crescendo lever, run towards the fallen bridge, make sure the bots don't get stuckc (Like Francis did). Then once you are at the top, throw your boomer bile or a pipe bomb towards the bottom, and run to the saferoom while paying attention to bots in the back to make sure nothing has grabbed them. If you have a chainsaw or melee weapon, you can push through the horde if you don't have throwables. Worst case, if you don't want to use a melee or throwables, just inch forward "slowly" in a stable group.
In the Train Station, you either want to throw a pipe bomb or use a chainsaw to get rid of the infected at the beginning. Otherwise, you will need to pick a side (left or right) while you move forward. When you reach the barn, a horde should come out, but it didn't when I played. Use any extra medkits you have (if any) and jump off the cliff to the train below. you don't necessarily want to go bumbling around like I did below the houses, just hug the walls and go where you need to go. The beginning and the middle area are the most difficult part of this level. The crescendo at the end is easy by comparison.
In the Farmhouse Finale, you want to use any extra medkits before you jump the cliff down to the cornfields. Sometimes a Tank will spawn on the cliff before the cornfields. At the cornfields, instead of doing what I did, you can set the fuel can on fire on the top of the cliff, instead of at the bottom. This will you will prevent all friendly fire damage that can be done from Chargers or Smokers. If anyone is low health, just kill them off, so you they can revive in the farmhouse. Laser sights and special ammo can spawn in the hay holding area (The opposite side of where the armored vehicle exits the finale. After watching the video and reviewing it, I think the best combination of weapons for the finale is shotgun + magnum. The shotgun should be used for special infected and the Tank, while the magnum is a makeshift sniper. The bots can protect you well enough if you are just using a magnum, but it doesn't seem to be easy to get more ammo if you are running out. The safest thing to do is to use a molotov to burn the tank and just run away around structures for the 2nd Tank. But if you use a shotgun you should have around 40-50 rounds left for the 2nd Tank. That ending was legit LOL
Even though I died twice at the end, this is my favorite finale. The other one being Swamp Fever. I also like the finale on Dark Carnival, but it is so much more difficult (those bleachers) that it's not as enjoyable if things go sour too many times.

This one is another I enjoy. The Crane & The Terminal are the hardest levels in this campaign (for me).
If you are not aware, to heal quickly after a level, if you close the door then use a medkit, you will heal instantly as the level goes to the loading screen.
Things to Do: At the beginning of The Greenhouse, just throw Pipebombs if you want to get rid of the horde quickly. Then pick up a pipe bomb. Pick a Molotov if you don't think you'll find one later to deal with a Tank. Preferably find magnum, you don't really need a melee weapon until you get to the terminal. Since you can use it defensively if you go down (which you probably will if you are playing with bots and you want to protect them at the cost of your health).
For The Crane, outside the saferoom, get rid of the infected. If you have extra medkits, it's not a big deal if people go down since you can't return for medkits once you hop the fence. Sometimes witches spawn at the top of the ladder or sometimes a tank spawns as soon as you hop the fence too. For the Crescendo, you want to activate it, then jump back into the building after using a pipe bomb or a boomer bile. Look into the rooms afterwards, so you can find throwables to stock up on. Alternatively, you can activate the crane, and then go into the corner on the far side of the wire fence (near the building where the fuel cans spawn). Afterwards, this building area seems like final level difficulty. If you can get through this, you can get through level 3. You slowly through the cubicles, no point in rushing here. If a tank spawns here, run back to the outside. since it's not idea to traverse here. You can exit the building through the back door which makes the hordes much easier to deal with.
At the beginning of the Construction Site, exit left from the saferoom. Then hop the fence. When you get the crescendo, get your weapons ready and shoot the fuel can and run back to the fence. alternatively, you could also hang out at the stairway (next to the generator where I picked up boomer bile, or you could also hang out in the spawn closet. Either way is fine. Make your way slowly to the ammo room. If a Tank spawns, just make your way back to the beginning while you shoot him. Otherwise, once you get to the ammo room Pick up your gun. Possibly a rifle or shotgun if a Tank still hasn't spawned. Otherwise, I prefer sniper just to clear out the infected in the next areas. You can also throw your boomer bile if you want to get through this spot faster, but I wouldn't recommend it since a bile makes The Terminal Crescendo consistently easier. In the open plane/car area, hug the walls while you make your way into the parking structure. Once you get in here a tank can possibly spawn here, but go through it slowly. This part is easier than the rest of the level, but it just has lots of dark corners.
The Terminal is the most difficult level in this campaign just because of the infinite crescendo at the end. For the 1st van crescendo, activate it, then run either: 1) back upstairs into a room or safetoom 2) run below the escalator in the dark area 3) run to the bathroom to the left of the van you activated 4) I also haven't seen if it's a good idea, but you could also potentially run past the gate that the van crashes into. For the aiport luggage area, sometimes the Tank spawns here, just ran back to the beginning. For the final crescendo, you ideally want a bile to throw once you get up the escalator. Preferably, throw it to the left area in front of you. Otherwise, if you don't, you hopefully have Sniper / Melee / Pipebomb in order to not get overrun. If this does happen, you want to go very slowly and make your way up. Sometimes after killing enough of the horde (at least on Xbox360), the horde will stop for a second so you can run forward for a couple of seconds before beginning again. This sucks without a bile. If you get a tank like I did in the video, it's going to be impossible unless you run past the Tank.
In the Runway Finale, you can either go to the far area I show in the video, but it kind of makes the Tank a pain to deal with, or you can go hang out in the front of the plane. Just shoot the horde and play merry go round with the Tank until it dies. This is an easy finale, but sometimes the special infected make it a pain in the ass, so be aware of your surrounding and try to protect bots from getting overrun. You want to prioritize special infected since the bots will be too busy to help. If you see a spitter, you want to try to run backwards to minimize damage to the bots.

The early levels are easier THEN it hits a difficulty spike in the Town. The finale feels a lot easier than the Town level.
Things to Do: At the end of The Turnpike, you want to use a pipebomb at the end if you have one. Sometimes lots of infected spawn at the hill where the safehouse is at. So make your way to the bottom of the hill and throw it to get the infected away. Fortunately, there were barely any when I did this level.
In The Drains, a tank sometimes spawns where the Tier 2 weapons are. So you can either go upstairs to lead him around the circle OR run back to the saferoom to try to go around that room. For the Crescendo, you can activate it, then run back to the beginning if you want to just to the pipes right before you enter the big room with the Tier 2 weapons. Then just hang out there until the hordes stop. Sometimes really cheap witches spawn here. Like in the alcove right above the exit to the outside from the drains (I point it out in the video). I'm not sure how to kill the witch from here other than throwing a molotov from the bottom of the ladder. Beware of witches that spawn in the final room (like in the video)
The Church is a very easy level especially if you get an early Tank and a boomer bile. If you get rid of the tank, the rest of the level becomes a breeze. When you reach the church, and knock on the door to begin the crescendo. You can run down the cemetery and throw your boomer bile back to the church. I failed to do this because the bots went down. BUT it's possible to run back to the beginning. You can hang out either in the safe room or the room below the housing structure you use to get over the trainyard. Alternatively, you could also use the house I used to hang out in there, but be careful with the bots since they like to go towards the ammo to reload.
The Town is the most difficult part of this campaign mostly due to the fact that the crescendo at the end has infinite zombies. You could use the sniper to get of infected in the beginning, but if you keep dying, it sort of gets old. It's not necessary. If you get a tank or a witch chasing you, be aware that the saferoom at the beginning doesn't close (I always forget). Ideally, you want a boomer bile or a Chainsaw for the crescendo, I just got lucky one spawned for me.
There are 4 strategies I use for the crescendo: 1) Try to get the bots all the way to the stairs (the wired fence in front of the end saferoom. Then throw boomer bile near the safehouse. Get in front of the safehouse with the bots, then kill all the infected
2) Get to the bus, then throw the boomer bile somewhere and try to get as close to the safehouse as possible (with the bots), then fight your way to the end.
3) Use a chainsaw with either of the above strategies. Chainsaw makes it A LOT easier.
4) If you don't have a boomer bile or a chainsaw. Your best bet would be a Sniper and a melee weapon. But it is possible to beat this crescendo using a magnum instead of the melee. The sniper is able to pierce lots of infected with one shot, so it's good for crowd control (even better than the shotgun).
As for the Boathouse Finale, activate the boat and hang out at the pier. On the Xbox360, I would recommend running back to the safehouse at the beginning or hang out in the house before you reach the cars and the forest. Just hang out there since ammo spawns there. But the infected arrive extremely slowly. Also it's easy to get rid of the Tank over at the beginning. Once both Tanks are dead, you can run to the end, and use a boomer bile or pipe bomb. This finale is very easy on xbox360. But the only difficulty that comes from using the xbox360 is that if you decide to use the pier, the bots can't pick up ammo or medkits from the boathouse due to a glitch with their pathfinding.
For the PC, you can to use the pier or the rock formation near the pier. When the Tank spawns, run to the open wooded area and kill him there. Save your molotov for the 2nd tank just in case. Also while you are defending the pier, be cautious of Smokers attempting to grab you near the rock formation on the left. If you hear a Smoker, be ready to shoot over there or melee a bot if they get grabbed (like in the video). I recommend using a magnum or rifle for this Finale.

Tips & Words of Encouragement: -The 1st level is very easy to run out of ammo, so what you can do is run back to the beginning before you fall through the hole in the ground.
-The 2nd level is harder than the 3rd level. If you can do this one, you have the ability to do Level 3.
-The 3rd level has the easiest crescendo in the game, it also feels like a shorter level.
-The 4th level has a difficult crescendo, but if you make it to that room, you should be safe.
-I personally believe this Finale is the worst finale in the game. None of the others come close. It becomes very easy if you get multiple pipe bombs, but as you can see, it's not needed.
