The NYU Game Center once again served as a hub for the Global Game Jam in 2021, this time taking things online to a Discord server to accommodate for COVID-19. On the weekend of January 29th to January 31st, hundreds of participants joined to create games in 48 hours based on one theme - Lost And Found.
On February 4th, the Game Center brought back the award winners from our hub for a livestream so viewers and jammers could have an opportunity to meet the game devs and see gameplay from the award winning games.
Best Use of Theme: Lost Buttons, Found Control
Best Visuals: Socky Day
Best Audio: Half Forgotten Psalms
Best Non-digital: Lost Language
Best Game Design & Audience Choice Award: CUTOFF
Best Overall: Hotel Royale Liechtenstein
This event was streamed live at twitch.tv/nyugamecenter on Thursday, February 4th.
