Acclaimed Bollywood star Shaban Azmi recently joined us at NYFA New York for a conversation with the Chair of the Producing Department, Neal Weisman.

Coming directly from the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of her new film, Shekhar Kapur's WHAT'S LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT? (starring Lily James and Emma Thompson), Azmi discussed with students her prolific career both on and off the screen.

Shabana Azmi is one of India's most accomplished actors, having won five National Film Awards for Best Actress and been honored by the Government with a Padma Shri Award in 1998. Known to play unconventional female characters across many genres, she has also received international recognition for her work on screen.
