Ever got stuck in a nasty nightmare, and desperately hoped for Luna to save you? Maybe she won't come and you'll face your worst fears... Thanks to Nyancat380 you can now experience that in your waking time, and through music! And this is part of a brand new compilation album!
I got lucky to be able to attend the live release party of the debut compilation album of a brand new series from pony Hardcore label Equestrian Terror Corps: "COREQUESTRIA Vol. 1: Ponyville". And let me tell you I was blown away!! By how many of the tracks followed the concept of the album with their own pony themes, and by how creative and stunning the music was all around! Taking the dark and less traveled roads can definitely be very rewarding, and the contributing musicians are here giving us the proof of that. Rich soundscapes, enthralling high-speed rhythms, new sensations, tasteful vocal sampling, creative progressions, lovely pony ideas... The power of music and the force of our community is shining here once more, and I can only thank DAϟH and Payyn for their vision and direction, organizing a compilation album like this one.
Contributing to the album with two different tracks, Nyancat380 partaked in the fun and presents us their own creative vision and musical greatness! This dark beauty we're sharing with you today is one of my favorites from the album with how it efficiently uses vocal samples to introduce a story of being trapped in a dream, and then proceeds to bring that concept to life with such crazy, dark and gritty Splittercore madness! Listening to this along everypony during the live release party felt so good, it's something to make you crazy! It's definitely one of the charms of the genre, and Nyancat380 definitely nailed it all while going for such an interesting pony concept fitting to the album.
There's a LOT more for you to discover and appreciate on this brand new compilation album! To name a few, "PONYVILLE WELCOMING COMMITTEE" is such a perfect opener representing the concept of the album so well with all that use of pony samples, "Discorded Ponyville" is all about that time when Discord took over and brings it in musical form, "Pony Village" is beautifully blending cute and eerie vibes, "Facts and Figures VIP" is so emotional and will surprise you, "Some Weed From Tree Hugger" will definitely make for a positive trip, "The Castle Grows" delights with cute melodies, "PINKIE! PIE! MAKES! DIGITAL! HARDCORE!" sounds exactly like what Pinkie would make, and the title of track #23 is just so good and so fun as the song is telling that story! We can be very thankful for such initiatives that encourage pony themes, and for the musicians following suit! As long as projects like these are being held in the pony music scene, I just know that we'll be fine and pony music will thrive! And I'll be here to support it the best I can! The glitch effects in this video are by Tacos! And so is the edit of the thumbnail this time around too! That makes it two times in a row, and I'm so happy because it looks so sick! Fun fact, the original edit of that artwork was planned for a previous upload but as it ended up not happening I had saved the edit, awaiting for a new opportunity to use it! And we both thought it was the time! Tacos even took the time to re-edit it to make the text fit better, and when I watched the result as I imported it in my project file, it got me teary-eyed from how good it looks! Also I think that it's epic how the text of the original artwork says "Let Me Out", very fitting for the title of the song "Wake Me Up Princess Luna"! Hope you like the visuals as much as I do! The original edit is even scarier by the way, so much that I could hardly look at it back then and had to close the video!

Right from the start of the song, Quadrivia sets us in such a comfy atmosphere by blasting the power of Cadances voice full-force. Did something special for this one, to pay tribute to Cadance too ♥ Im all about love so I respect her a lot, hehe. And there were so many amazing artworks of her I wanted to use! That first one by Scarlet-Spectrum is one that I have printed as a poster and that is displayed near my desk, I see it as Im typing this! I just LOVE the textures and colorfulness of that one, Cadances tail looks good enough to eat!! The colors in that second one by Hollulu that I used in the drops are amazing too. I love the love in Cadances eyes in that third artwork by Johnjoseco, I can relate to it so much! And that fourth artwork is from one of my favorite pony artists, I just LOVE Tomnesss style and all those cool girls in her gallery! Im happy I get to use her art in a video!

New compilation album ahoy! And its Never Say Neigh Records newest showcase of hard-hitting bangers! Powered by 8 tracks of pure wub-wubz madness, Black Stable: Vol 3 is brimming with sick experiences savored best while partying hard! And of course we gotta show you a taster at Cider Party!
A ridiculously powerful collab, this fusion of Soundnix and AJ Youngs skills is definitely mind-blowing, and it sets the tone of the compilation album with a dark design from the brony Dubstep initiative. An atmospheric build quickly switches up to mad wubz that would make even Grogar quiver in fear. The intense and relentless drop hits harder than a Moldeds swing, and the anticipation of a second drop is more palpable than the fear of Evelines next apparition. References to Resident Evil 7 Biohazard aside, this track certainly displays the power of Dubstep and it is a very successful collab!
Grab it along other pony treats in the album such as Awks Stalk starring a demented Fluttershy to our greatest delight, or Spikey Wikeys Starved that builds on Thorax vocals from S06E16 The Times They Are A Changeling to create a unique experience! So yeah, I had to think of Resident Evil when I saw that title. (For those who dont know, Biohazard is the Japanese title of the series.) No idea if this track is actually related to it though. But I had fun leaving references haha. The very first Resident Evil game on PS1 is a classic of the horror/puzzle genre, it may even have defined the genre, and the more recent RE7 delightfully goes back to the roots of the first game. Still not as good and creative as F.E.A.R. in the horror department, but still pretty good, and the story and twists were awesome. Im very excited for RE8 Village, that trailer from the PS5 reveal stream looked great!
Also, Pony Life. I still have to rewatch those 2 first episodes because it went just so fast, I didnt understand what was happening at all in the first episode lol. It looked a bit like MLP on drugs. But it was fun! Waiting to see how the next episodes are like too, before I can make a judgement.

Among the top-shelf electronic bangers off the upcoming Ponies at Dawn Skyward compilation album, SKUNKEDs is soaring high, with aerial vibes and Pinkie-enabled Dubstep drops!
Definitely going for the theme of the album with that musical mood and that since the start of the track, SKUNKED delivers his newest creative endeavor into the electronic music field with much style, and impressive quality. The Pinkie laughs introducing the drops are much welcome, and it just makes for so much happiness in musical format, along the uplifting and cute synths! Some backstory from the musician:
I wanted to make a track that seemed fitting with the upcoming album, especially with the name. The only idea that came up was the feeling of being so high that you could touch the sky, an ecstatic feeling that made you want to reach higher than the sky could even touch (hence the name Sky High). With that said, think of it as a ride from the start of flight to the landing of flight (and see it as life itself. There will be times where you slow down and fall, but when you come back up, you reach greater heights than before).
I hope you guys will enjoy this song (which is my debut on P@D) just as much as I did when I first created it. ♥

They just released their second compilation album featuring many familiar faces and lesser-known artists, and this is the occasion to present you The Empty Tomb whove been active with many pony songs for a while!
Following their Hearths Warming EP, brony chill music label VibePoniez powered up with a new compilation album Skyscrapers LP, that were happy to share with you today! The album is full of beauties from many active pony musicians such as PeKaNo, Altius Volantis and AnimatronicPony, and many Cider Party regulars contributed as well such as Tw3Lv3, GrazySmash and TCB! Its the perfect chance to discover some of the most underrated and lesser-known pony musicians who make awesome stuff, and The Empty Tomb is one of them! Check out his channel to find all that he contributed to the community, including Canterlot Funk, Emotions, Lost In Dark Woods, and even a collab with NyanCat380 titled The New Queen and themed around Cozy Glow! I just knew that I had to use these recent Pinkie artworks by Reterica for this! I love them and the alternate take on Pinkie so much, and had tweeted them both. And if you check the description of Believe to be live... it actually fits the concept of Better with Time!! So this is extra fitting!
And yeah, I couldnt choose between the two artworks, so I ended up using both of them in the video! lol!

Time for a second showcase from momentous compilation album A State of Sugar Waffle! Niłchi Poni contributes with an utterly delightful tune that takes the roads less traveled once again, and delivers such an incredible musical experience, complete with pony vocal chops!
Both atmospheric and heavy, this masterpiece from Niłchi Poni aka F 109 (previously featured on the channel) definitely shines with its progression, but not only. The insane wubs and tasty sound design all around are tokens of all the work that has been poured into this beauty of a track, and the pony vocal chops are just making it even more emotional! Niłchi Poni/F 109 has been consistently making incredible pony tunes that brim with creativity and emotion, and it looks like the talented musician hasnt finished blowing us away, and is getting even better at their craft! Im happy to be able to present you all this track thats definitely among my favorites from A State of Sugar Waffle! For those who may not know HACKD, hes a must-follow. Pony passion and dedication, strong values and ideals to make the world a better place, profuse knowledge and wisdom, and did I mention absolute coolness? Musically, HACKD took on many different genres and experimented in many directions. Always open-minded and often representing underground pony music scenes, he participated many times in the Pinkamena Party albums, venturing into the roads less traveled and reflecting his ideals of thinking outside the box. Shining in the front of the scene last year with the memorable Sunshine Like Marmalade on Drumscape Library, and more recently with the Neurofunk treat Rain Dance also as a Library exclusive, HACKD kept honing his sound and now hes making his return at Sweet Apple Acres most prized parties!
Go With The Flow uses vocal and SFX clips from S06E12 Spice Up Your Life, and delivers a unique take on the episode with hot sound design, very danceable beats, and an expert vocal chopping work for a refined result that showcases HACKDs talent and vision. So yeah, I know the meaning of this song is probably about DJTs friends, as the cover art of the original upload implies, but I couldnt find another artwork with the OCs to use so I instead headcanoned the meaning of that song to be about Starlight and Trixie! See, some of the lyrics do fit! And that artwork by Vincher is so gorgeous and lovely... I hope that looking at this artwork while listening to this song and thinking about Starlight and Trixies relationship could make the experience emotional for you! I sure know how powerful those emotions of Passion can be. And I didnt add extra effects this time because... I thought this artwork had enough emotional power as is.

Making their first appearance with their track Disappear that also got posted on the channel back then, Pucherin has definitely impressed more than one with their amazing sound design and heavenly pony chops. Lost is a much-welcomed comeback, where deep vibes are expressing an equally deep theme. Explanation from Pucherin:
Lost is a song where I show that feeling of being abandoned, losing all those people that I appreciated because of my mistakes makes me feel lost without knowing what to do to have them back, that was the reason why I made this song.
The deep vibes from the song do feel like they come from the depths of a gloomy forest representing that feeling of being lost, much like in Apple Blooms dream in S05E04 Bloom & Gloom! As for the Flutterchops, their beauty have the power to remind us that theres always a light at the end of the tunnel...

I thought, that story from Pucherin actually fits to Trixies story, so a Trixie artwork could work! We found many candidates and eventually everyone settled for this one!
I added custom lighting effects by masking out the sky all around Canterlot and the mountains and clouds. This artwork just called for it! And I did a special fade-in for the intro. Im quite happy with how the custom lighting turned out! Notice how it twinkles throughout the video, just like it would in real-time in a game environment! And the sunlight is shining beautifully around the edges of the Cantelot towers, that means the masking work I did was successful! Hope that you liked it! Oh, and Happy New Year!
