The reasoning behind Chris Watts’ mot!VE has always bothered me. Did he really do it so that he could be with Nikki Kessinger ???? I believe his mot!VE is a bit more complex. I actually believe Nutgate & his family’s behavior played a HUGE role. Chris called his dad Ronnie his hero & not having a close relationship with him made him feel like a part of him was missing. When Nutgate happened, he probably had flashbacks of the chaos created by Cindy & Ronnie not showing up for the wedding. I doubt he was excited about repeating the drama of that whole situation. He had his parents in one ear saying they just couldn’t deal with Shanann anymore. He had NK in his other ear convincing him that the compatibility wasn’t there & Shanann was ruining his life. On the other hand, Chris Watts had ZERO complaints about his marriage or his wife. They never fought!! He was perfectly comfortable staying in the background & letting Shanann take control. It was HIS FAMILY & NK that had a problem with Shanann. The anger that he speaks of having for Shanann was pushed onto him by his parents & NK. Chris asked, “would I have even known how bad my marriage was if had never met Nikki??” Great question Chris! Probably not!!! I believe he had this urge to do something about Shanann because of all the pressure he was getting all around him. Everyone was telling him, she has to go!! Get rid of her!! Some people want to say Shanann pushed Chris to do it. No she didn’t!! She simply wanted to fix her marriage, but his family was DESPERATE to stop it from happening!! This is the reason why Cindy Watts is still trying to defend herself & her family 6 years later. She knows her attitude toward Shanann pushed Chris to do what he did! I don’t know if Cindy will EVER be able to forgive herself for it!!
