Hey! I'm not dead! Just busy, but in the good way!
I want to say something like "hey I will not be arround so much", but I cannot because I cannot read myself, but truth be told, most of the times I don't get no free time outside of school and my own pesonal projects. On the other hand, a lot of very amazing stuff has been coming out lately. League of Legends Arcane, Halo Infinite & with Spider-Man No Way Home coming out, I have been very temted to edit to all these things, as I love them so much, but I just dont have the time ahah. With all that said I really want to edit, or atleast, try to edit to these things.
I'm on Christmas break for 2 weeks and the last 2 days, I spent sometime trying to get to know AE and experiment on some texts for this vid. I'm not proud of the result, but atleast I know how to do most basic things in AE, which is a huge step forward for me in 2 days, considering how bad I am for committing myself to things (Thank you Fede and Dan for your help tho!).
I know I always say I want to edit this and that, but I end up just editing to tf or Megatron again, but I cannot help myself. It's not to please others, I don't really care about that anymore, but it's because I always find myself falling back to my most valuable comfort character; which is Megatron.
This was one of the many other Megatron edits that I wanted to complete before coming to France. Crazy how much time passed so quickly. But I'm glad I finished it.
This video is kind of like my love letter to Megatron. I wanted to include all his great and respectable incarnations since I adore them all so much in their own ways. I did not useBayverse Megatron, as that for me is not Megatron in any way. Even though I had my fair share of critisizing with Megatron becoming an Autobot in IDW, I'm still glad that they decided to take such a critical route with his character; it was a very fresh take on Megatron that they explored very well. And even though I’m still a bit bitter on him becoming an Autobot, I will still appreciate the existence of his Autobot version. Also I started re-reading the entire Transformers IDW Comics a month ago, and I was just feeling a lot for Megatron (as usual, but this time even more). I always wondered why he was my favourite character ever (aside from Raphael from TMNT) but I could never put into words why he mattered so much to me.
In almost every continuty, we are first introduced to Megatron when he lost his way long ago, and yet I still root for him. TFP Megatron was my first love for this character, I always found him asthonishing, how he kept going no matter what, even before we were introduced to his origin story. I think everything changed for me when TFP gave us his back story. Then I realized how strong of a person he was. Contrary to Optimus, who is strong for never giving himself in to his demons, Megatron was strong for making himself more scarier than all his demons ever were, and that he continued to fight for what he believed in, a lost cause may be, but he still kept going regardless. The more I grow up the more my connection to this characer became stronger. Maybe it’s because the more I grow, the more I’m always feeling lost, unable to see things clearly, where I’m always turning to Megatron and appreciate his strenght more.
I also added some War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron moments. People don’t know how much I love these games and how much FoC means to me, but I will just say that I LOVE the Megatron from those games. Even though he is mostly 1 dimensional, he is still very awesome to me.
