The opponent sitting in front of you tries to attack. You quickly draw up and swing down. While Shoden’s Nukiuchi is intended for cutting stationary objects, Chūden’s Nukiuchi is designed for
fighting against an opponent.

However, you must be careful not to get injured. After the draw, your left hand must bring the Koikuchi (entrance of scabbard) back to the center of your body, and go straight up toward the Tsuka.
