Nuked on bike part 2 (please read info below before asking questions)

6-7x above normal background radiation.
34-37cpm (counts per minuet) is my normal background.
Time: 7.00p.m. (2nd June)
Location: 45-50min motor bike ride in full on rain from Torquay, South Devon, England to my home 10miles or so from Plymouth.
Geiger counter: Inspector Exp+

Info: I was caught out in major rain storm on motorbike for 45-50mins 28miles. I got soaked to the skin. I was returning home from Torquay Devon England. I had no option, I had to get home. I didn't have my geiger counter with me (don't take it on the bike for obvious reasons) so I just imagined the rain wasn't hot and got home as fast as I could but there was so much traffic and everyone was driving so slowly because it was raining so hard. Even Police were slowing traffic down on A38 to 50 or so mph (70mph speed limit). Did I go slightly faster than 70mph when I had chance so I could get home quicker.....of course not, I totally obeyed the speed limit ;-)

I measured my wet leathers with my Geiger about 30minuets after I had got out of them and found they were 6-7xbackground. Remember that this isn't a 1squared metered swipe from say a car, it is a direct measurement my motorcycle leather jacket's shoulder area. My gloves, boots, helmet and even my visor were all hot (radioactive).

Approximately 1 hour and 10 minuets after this video was taken I took a standard 1squared metered swipe from my car and recorded just over 1000cpm (counts per minuet). But I only have photograph of 845cpm (have video too). That's 25 times above background radiation. Please note the difference in surface area measured on ,my leather jacket to that of a 1square metered swipe from a car roof. It is quite a difference. Obviously the levels would be lower on the direct measurement.

For those who don't know a 1squared metered swipe from a surface is a basic standard that has been adopted so reasonable comparisons can be made between citizen scientists.

Apart from my crash helmet & wicked boots albeit summer boots that kept hoofs dry the rest of my body was dripping wet. I was in this rain for over 45minuets.

Stay out of the rain and avoid all sea food from the Pacific Ocean! Apart from all of the above please try and be happy so you can live long and prosper and don't forget to wake your friends and family up if they are not aware of the most important event in human history, Fukushima. Tell them about Fukushima and how it has changed the world forever.

Get active and spread the word!

Peace to you and all our fellow creatures on our only home, mother Earth xXx
