[Spoiler Warning] Part 2 of beating New Super Mario Bros Wii in 26:31 with no powerups (from first mario control to last mario control (including all mandatory cut-scenes inbetween); if you count from starting a new game to being returned to the main menu after the credits, it's 33:55). This is my "wee" Mario speed run of NSMBW, subject to my own stipulation that Mario must remain little the whole time (eg no power-ups including checkpoint flag growth or tiny mushrooms). Note that Yoshi is not a power-up (he isn't in the chart of items accessible from the map by pressing 1).

Part 3: youtube.com/watch?v=ZmZSzEPcq5E

What you see here is my best run for each stage in the sequence, recorded only if I was able to get to that point in the speed run maintaining adequate pacing and without dying (excluding my deliberate self-death after 5-1 to avoid Petey Piranha overworld encounter). Accordingly, this speed run video would have to be considered segmented, but what I show here is what could be done all at once at this same speed.

Since my only goal was to beat the game as quickly as possible with just little mario, you won't see me go out of my way for coins, stars, or score. If you don't have the game yet, I should let you know that there is of course a TON more to this game, but I leave that for you to enjoy yourself! And if I've made this game look easy, don't be fooled, I've died more times than there are letters in this description.

Gameplay, recording, editing, and production all by me (dread phanna). Played with standard Wiimote and no additional assistance (eg no tool-assists, save states, emulation, powersaves, action replay, etc was used at all whatsoever: just me, a Wii, a TV, and a laptop recording). Recorded directly with Dazzle DVC100 and produced in Windows Movie Maker 5.1 (XP).

Special thanks to my girlfriend Danielle for letting me borrow her Wii, and to my friend Ang (aka ÜberIce) for letting me borrow his laptop, and of course Nintendo for yet another fantastic, entertaining, robust, elegant, and skill-curved game for our enjoyment! I also would like to sincerely thank you for your time and support (I do this for you).

Excepting some future unknown sequence-breaking glitch or other opportunity, this should be the fastest non-cheat methodology to defeat Bowser and rescue princess Peach, starting from the beginning of NSMB Wii (that is, by sequence, though certainly power-ups would help speed this up, some stages moreso than others).

My hope is that you find this video entertaining and share it with your friends, and that it appeals to non-gamers and hardcore fans alike. Please enjoy in high quality, and I really appreciate any feedback! If you enjoy this, I encourage you to check out my other videos covering games such as Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Bros Melee & Brawl, Mario Galaxy, etc.
