I caught Norfolk Southern 4610 on train P59 leading a small freight into the town of Clyde, NC on the Murphy Branch..I've been trying all week to get this engine. It's been in Asheville for a few days, and will be in town a few more weeks. Thanks to my buddy Ben NS2589 who sent my texts about this engine. I owe you one bro!!

and if anyone knows Southern Railway History, June 17, 1953 was the last run of a Southern Steam Locomotive.

To simulate wartime repairs of railroads the Claiborne-Polk United States Military Railroad was built. The railroad was about 50 miles long and had 25 bridges. It crossed the Calcasieu River.
