In 2023 *Speed Limit* can overlook a almost 40 year History. Formed in 1984 by the two guitarists *Chris Angerer, Chris Pawlak* and Drummer Andy Rethmeier, the band is a legend within the austrian metal scene. With their debut album *Unchained* which was released in 1986 they left a footprint within the metal- and hard rock scene and gained great popularity with their second release *Prophecy* in 1988, entering the official charts in several countries.
A jury of the legendary magazine Rennbahn Express voted the _Speedys_ to be the best austrian metal act. In the Jury included *Gene Simmons* from *KISS* and *Bruce Dickinson* from *Iron Maiden* . Concerts and Touring-Activities with Uriah Heep, Pink Cream 69, U.D.O, Accept amongst others are part of the band history as well as various chart successes. With their 2010 album *Moneyshot*, *Speed Limit* entered the *TOP 30 German Metal Charts*
Since 2023 *Speed Limit* are signed to the German Independentlabel *NRT-Records* which re-released the legendary backing catalogue of the band and also are going to release the brand new album *Cut A Long Story Short* on June, the 16th 2023 - Worldwide.

On June, 5th – the UN World Environment Day – R.T.P. (previously known as RT-Projekt) release their new video single Our World. It is a pop anthem to our blue planet, in December 2022 already awarded in the category best pop song at the German Rock and Pop Award. Musically, the song inspires with the two-part vocals of Stephanie Bauer and Michael Lex and the compositional trademarks of mastermind Rainer Thanner: convincing arranged melodies, an unusual yet coherent instrumentation (strings, piano/synthesiser plus guitar and a fitting drum sound) - completed by an Oli Zangl solo of the extra class.

Mit »Kalter Morgen« setzt ÖTTE den emotionalen Schlusspunkt unter seine EP »Prolog«. Nach Rock’n’Roll, Großstadtflimmern und dunkler Härte zeigt sich hier die nachdenkliche Seite des Musikers: melancholisch, atmosphärisch und voller Bilder, die lange nachhallen.
Der Song beginnt mit einem verfremdeten Klavierklang, fast wie eine Erinnerung aus einem alten Grammophon, bevor sich der Sound öffnet. Streicher, akustische Gitarren, melodische E-Gitarren und die markante Stimme von ÖTTE formen eine Ballade, die große Gefühle trägt, ohne in Kitsch abzurutschen.
Inhaltlich kreist »Kalter Morgen« um Verlust, Erinnerung, Überleben und die Frage, was bleibt, wenn selbst die Vergangenheit brüchig wird. Schnee, Asche, Staub, Blei und Stille erzeugen eine beklemmende Atmosphäre zwischen Nachkriegsbild, Katastrophenstimmung und persönlichem Rückblick. Es geht um Spuren, die nicht verschwinden, und um das leise Begreifen, dass Überleben nicht automatisch Heilung bedeutet.
ÖTTE ist seit den frühen 1980er-Jahren Teil der deutschsprachigen Rockszene. Seine Verbindung zu Udo Lindenberg, zum Rockliner und zur Panik-Familie ist ein fester Bestandteil seiner Laufbahn. Mit »Prolog« beginnt nun bei NRT Records ein neues Kapitel — und »Kalter Morgen« beweist, dass dieses Kapitel nicht nur laut, sondern auch tief und verletzlich sein kann.

*About KATONE:*
American rocker Jimmy Katone is back with a brand-new chapter in his darkly creative journey. Following his collaboration with German heavy metal band Reaper’s Revenge on their Alice Cooper tribute cover of “Poison,” the Philadelphia-born drummer, singer, and songwriter now returns with his upcoming EP Eternal — due for release in November 2025 on NRT-Records. The music video for the title track will premiere in advance on October 31, setting the tone for Katone’s most personal and haunting work to date.
Leaving Flesh and Fire behind, Eternal delves into themes of endurance, rebirth, and the emotional scars left by desire and devotion. Written, sung, and largely performed by Katone himself, the three-track release fuses gothic atmosphere with the grit of classic hard and dark rock — a sound honed through decades of musical evolution.
Longtime collaborators Igor Mueller and Al Augunas (both from Katone’s 1980s band Hit The Ground Runnin’) contribute additional guitar layers, while Nathan Schwartz oversees mastering and Indonesian artist Pasek Dwipayana delivers the cover artwork. Katone once again took full control of the production and created matching visuals that mirror the record’s brooding spirit.
From his early success with Hit The Ground Runnin’s 1989 debut Sudden Impact to acclaimed solo works like Committing Suicide, The Next Devil, Plastic Udder, and Erotic Crystallization Inertia, Katone has built a reputation for fearless experimentation and emotional depth. With Eternal, he distills that legacy into a concise, powerful statement — bold, evocative, and unmistakably his own.
