Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., chair of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, will speak at a National Press Club in-person Headliners Newsmaker on Monday, Jan. 30 at 10 a.m.
Comer has said the Oversight Committee under Republican control will focus on rooting out waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement in the federal government and holding the Biden Administration accountable. He also promised to investigate President Biden's son, Hunter, for alleged "influence peddling," the crisis at the southern border, the origin of the COVID-19 virus and the use of U.S. funds at a research lab in China, and the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Comer will offer brief remarks followed by a question-and-answer session ending at 11 a.m.
