It had been a long wait, but now it’s for real: The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are finally officially Daydream-Ready!

Google announced the update through their official channels today on August 1st. The company had to make the Daydream app available to Galaxy S8 owners who before were told that their device was incompatible if they tried to install the app.





The Galaxy S8 devices of T-Mobile and Verizon had before been updated to support Daydream but without the Daydream app being able to run on the device, these updates were of no use to the Galaxy S8 owners.

Google has now made the change and the app should now run on all Galaxy S8 and S8+ devices without a problem.
