UW Support of Military Connects Students
JOE RASMUSSEN is Director of University Veteran Services. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving on active duty from 2002-2006. BROOKE VILLELLA earned her Bachelor's degree in rehabilitative psychology from UW-Madison and is currently pursuing a higher level education in clinical rehabilitation counseling. She served as a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Specialist for the Wisconsin Army National Guard and then integrated into the 1-121st Field Artillery. In 2018-19, she deployed with 1-121st Field Artillery to the middle east. At this week's Rotary meeting, they discussed their personal experiences as student veterans, working with student veterans, and current research underway at UW-Madison on military–connected students.
